I never have understood the hate for it. Comfortable seats, and A/C on a hot/humid Florida summer day, and it's relatively cheap. What's not to like. [Reply]
Got lucky and didn’t need the generator this go around. However, dusted her off, put some gas in, started right up on the second pull after sitting for at least 5 years(inherited from my in laws). Some Generac sub line called Wheelhouse 5550. Glad I didn't have to truly call it into service! [Reply]

I hate that place. I’ve went there to see my Cardinals play. I live 5 minutes from it. They give out $10 tickets a lot. Never go.
I would go to Kauffman stadium just to watch baseball. The sight lines at the K are fantastic. [Reply]

I used to go quite a bit when I lived in Tampa. Like I said, cheap entertainment and an escape from the oppressive heat. Now that I live in Spring Hill, I don't go nearly as much, but I've always enjoyed the venue. [Reply]

I went on a date there once with a consultant. Who brought a friend.
At times I think we'd all be better off getting weather advice from witch doctors. They'd probably be right about shit more often, and be far less scary while doing it. Plus, no commercials.
And you don't dare give the witch doctor shit if he's wrong on the forecast or he could cast a spell on you or something. [Reply]
Tomorrow is going to be fun. I didn’t even try today because I need supplies. Fuck going to any store today. Lost 9 fence sections and 7 of my screen panels blew out in the pool.
Got super lucky. If this storm was even 50 miles north of what it did, I would be calling my insurance company and that is never good. Never call your insurance company in Florida. They help, and next year you get a “bend you over” increase in rates. [Reply]
I have a few pieces of siding gone. No other issues from the outside other than debris and tree limbs to clean up. Power is still out till Monday. We are still bugged out until we have power.
Sounds like my friends in Lakeland did okay. The Mrs said she had to work until 5 on Monday or they would have gotten out before the hurricane came. They lost the screen to the lenoi and a approximately 8ft section of privacy fence. A lot of branches and other debris in the yard but it sounds like nothing major, overall.

The hell? Uhhh I think an impending hurricane would be a good reason to leave work early [Reply]

This is Florida. I've had to work through several tropical storms. Employers here will make you work till the last possible minute, and expect your ass back to work the moment it passes. [Reply]
