One of the best WR prospects at the catch point and winning leverage mid-route. He consistently sets up defenders to put them on his back, locates the ball, and attacks it at the highest point.
Rashee Rice was drafted with pick 55 of round 2 in the 2023 draft class. He scored a 9.53 #RAS out of a possible 10.00. This ranked 145 out of 3062 WR from 1987 to 2023. https://t.co/lwD9tvVPvvpic.twitter.com/YjucxErSE1

If you were excited about Quentin Johnston or intrigued by the idea of trading for Brandon Aiyuk, you should like Rice. He and Aiyuk are basically physical clones.
I was thinking this EXACT same thing. Way back I watched those highlights and was buzzed but he honestly looked a different player this year. Not necessarily worse but I wasn't seeing that separation at all.
Wasn't massive on this guy based on his tape last year but now you're all talking about him like he's Aiyuk, i might be back on board. [Reply]

They have almost identical athletic profiles (height, weight, vert, 10- and 20-yard splits, 40 time).
Obviously no guarantee he’s as good as Aiyuk, but there’s a lot to like there. [Reply]
We have the makings of a very good young receiving crew, if some can stay healthy, and others pan out. Toney, Moore, Rice, Ross + MVS and Watson. [Reply]

He was. Not sure he is anymore. After the Watson and DHop trades he soured on HOU quite a bit. Iirc, he said he was going to remain a DHop/Watson fan but not necessarily a HOU fan.
Obviously after everything came out about Watson, he may not still be a Deshaun fan. [Reply]

Draft stuff is all opinion obviously, Rice does have some bad habits. I mean I'll say this if you believe 6' WRs need to burn and create separation and can't be contested catch guys because they're not 6'4 you'll probably hate Rice as a prospect. [Reply]

Oh definitely, knew it was going to be divisive as soon as that pick was made. Don’t know a lot about the kid but the fact that a lot of our resident CP draft nerds love the guy, gives me some hope. [Reply]
