For me the drafting of Pacheco is extra gratifying as he played college in the same city I spent my youth. There was a post somewhere in another thread claiming that nothing good comes from New Jersey in terms of NFL talent. Here is a list of current players from that state:
Jonathan Taylor (the guy most here wanted)
Minkah Fitzpatrick
Kenny Pickett
Quentin Nelson
Cesar Ruiz (another player many here wanted on draft night)
Haason Reddick
David Njoku
Robby Anderson
Jordan Fuller
Mike Gesicki
Malcolm Jenkins
Logan Ryan
Larry Ogunjobi
Richie Incognito (retired)
Michael Burton (currently with the Chiefs)
Joe Flacco
Odafe "Jason" Oweh
Rashan Gary [Reply]
I looked at Pacheco's college tape once more and I see a strong physical back with enough elusiveness to find open holes. Not the fastest player but fast enough.
I am not sure he is an every down back but he looks to be a major improvement over CEH in short yard situations. He could be very effective in the Red Zone given his underrated ability as a receiver. Bottom line is the kid is a football player. He will get you those extra yards and be productive when called on. Because of his body frame, I don't see him get injured as often. [Reply]

“He’s is a good catcher,” noted the head coach, “so he can catch the football. The rest of all that we can work with — and he’s doing that now. He’s learning the feel of it.”

Disagree. There's a handful of backs in the league that are absolutely worth an early pick. Outside of that though yea these RBs are like a box of chocolates. You never know what your gonna get. I would still swing for an RB if I thought he was worth it. I doubt he would be 5'7 200 with a 4.6 40 time though [Reply]
