IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Pretty fortunate to make it through AFC Playoffs this year with the worst LT/LG combination of any Playoff team. Amazing they made it that far in this circumstance. The other contending teams all have pretty good blind side protection for their QB's. I could easily see other teams with this situation getting knocked out in the Wild Card or Divisional round.
We keep getting by because the other contenders in the AFC repeatedly shit themselves. The Ravens are constantly imploding yearly and the Bills are too stupid to fire McDermott so Mahomes just carves their defense up in January.

The WRs likely would’ve been a really strong group if Rice stays healthy. Brown’s health is easier to criticize Veach for, because that’s easier to see coming. Still, Brown was on a “prove it” deal. I get why Veach would take that chance.
The problem isn't that Veach has been poor at roster building, it's just that Roseman has been better, at least for this year. With the raft of FAs we have he's going to have to hit a lot in the draft and make some exceptional FA moves. Even then, the LT position is a problem that isn't easy to fix.

Sometimes you've just got to tip the cap to the other guy, that goes for their GM too.

As bad as Mahomes looked at times, there's no-one who'd prefer Hurts or Sirianni over him and Reid. But equally, no-one could pretend he was as well protected or had the same weapons as Hurts (yes, Rice getting injured was a massive kick in the balls) and I can't believe that doesn't impact his form.

Because Brady wasn't even a particularly efficient QB statistically until the 2007 season and was not considered as good as Peyton Manning at the time, yes. Everyone knew the Patriots' defense won those first three SBs.

Can you imagine Mahomes being talked about in those terms in year 6 or 7 of his own career? They were simply different levels of player.

Brady's career is incredibly impressive because he remained playing at a high level into his 40s, but his 20s were nothing special at all. That somehow gets ignored in these comparisons.

History has been revised to make this guy look like a better player than he actually was for most of his career.
Yeah, it was the Falcons comeback game that cemented the GOAT status for Brady. Down 27-3 and comeback to win. It's your 5th Super Bowl win, breaking the tie with Montana & Bradshaw. Epic stuff in that game for sure.

The media definitely preferred other QB's: Peyton Manning & Aaron Rodgers with 9 MVP's combined. Tom Brady with 3 MVP's.

Now we're diminishing beating teams quarterbacked by MVPs in the playoffs? Nah, those are all great wins and always will be.

Josh Allen would be considered one of the all-time greats already if the Chiefs didn't exist.

Love him or hate him, this is funny.

As a new member, I'm not allowed to post the link yet, but it shows Mahomes getting sacked by a couple of Eagles players with the caption saying "If Patrick Mahomes had Allstate instead of State Farm, maybe he'd have been protected from mayhem, like this."

Buffalo should hire Fangio. At least he would try a different approach on defense compared to McDermott, who has gotten torched in 5 straight Playoff losses to Mahomes/Burrow.

I’d probably put it above the Bengals loss, but the tape reveals a confidence issue with Patrick. Every year I get more and more confident that Fisher/Schwartz were as important as Hill/Watkins to start Patrick’s career. They allowed him to mask the flaws in his game (taking 13 step drops and waiting for someone to break open) and be a confident gunslinger.

He won Super Bowl 54 by being a Favre like gunslinger.

He won Super Bowls 57 & 58 by being Alex Smith with a clutch gene.

He tried to do both yesterday. It didn’t work. Whatever the Chiefs need to do to give him the confidence he had in Super Bowls 54, 57, and the 4th quarter/OT of 58, they need to try to make that happen in the offseason. Stabilizing the LT spot looks to be the obvious path forward there.

That ****ing Falcons game will never cease to annoy me. How do you gift that shit to him like that? What a stupid fucking coached team.

Also if he didn't have a complete bumpkin at HC giving us a near auto win condition. Incredibly glad they're being stubborn and sticking with McDerpott or they'd be an even tougher out year to year.

I can’t be mad. Without that same dumbass playcaller on the opposing sideline we may have lost Super Bowls 54 & 58.

Oh, I'm thankful every year they keep McDermott around. It's only a matter of time until Allen beats us, but perhaps that will delay that as long as possible.

Brady's success due to Shanahan annoys me almost as much as Mahomes' gives me joy.

Oddly, I sort of like him as a commentator though.

That bizarre contortion shit he can do with his arm is one of the things that makes him great. Mere mortals get a bump from the side and fire a ball 8 yards away from where they were aiming. PM doesn't -- he trains himself to be able to deal with exactly that sort of maelstrom.

It was just another example of a play that 'Good Pat' doesn't get so rattled by and 'Bad Pat' just does....that.

I couldn't believe that kind of contact had him doing that with the ball. He takes more than that a half dozen times a game and the ball doesn't due what it did there. He was just really messed up.
Here is the video. He got hit and it ended up 5 yds short of Brown.

Was very clear on film that the #Eagles plan of attack against the #Chiefs tackles involved going right through their chests.

Josh Sweat, Nolan Smith and co. barraged that duo with a constant supply of Bull Rushes and inside moves throughout - including on Zack Baun's INT pic.twitter.com/7KjkFH7kZZ
