Good question.
But it’s pretty random, and most of the takes on our draft picks seems overly pessimistic, so I’m assuming that he’s trying to push a narrative about our class as a whole.

Just watched some clips on Nik Bonitto and fucking Orlando Brown is going eat him for lunch. He better bulk up he might be quick but he will get pancaked a lot in the NFL. [Reply]
Nicks not going be able to take a wide stance and speed around Orlando Brown that just isn't going to work for him in the NFL and would adjust anyways. Orlando Brown is going have some pancakes. [Reply]

No, they were brutal to him too:

This is a guy like Ojabo that people try to make something more of because he can run and he worked out crazy. I don’t think his game transfers to the NFL very well. He’s just a little guy. Get off the ball and run by (the quarterback). Now put some moves together, let’s see you use your hands. He doesn’t have any of that. He gets stalemated very easily. Plays hard. He chases. Gets beat up in the run game. He’s a situational pass rusher but I don’t know if he has the instincts for being a 3-4 outside guy.” Finished with 117 tackles (32 for loss) and 18 ½ sacks. Arms were 32 ½. “Kind of a designated pass rusher,” a second scout said. “He’s got to prove he can play the run and cover. It’s hard to pinpoint him being a starter.” Fourth-year junior from Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
The Wilson hype is interesting to watch...along with what another posted about his height affecting his short/mid range routes.
In his SB seasons...he rushed/scrambled for around 700 yards...last year, in 14 games, he had 180. His game is predicated on buying time and taking deep shots...or running if it's not there.
He was killing it for the first 8 games in the 2020 season until he got the Mahomes two deep safety treatment...then their offense fell off a cliff.
He took 43 sacks last season in 14 games...by comparison, Mahomes took 17 in 17 games. That says he is holding the ball too long looking for the deep shot...his 180 rushing is the lowest of his career.
If his mobility is declining, which it appears it is, he's not the same QB anymore. Denver's OL ranked 27th in pass protection...so this isn't a good combination...coupled with one of the most sacked QBs. If he's no longer the rushing threat...that takes big part of his game away.
It'll be something to watch..if Wilson can see over 6-3/6-5 lineman and develop his intermediate game. Teams are going to play him with 2 deep until he shows he can beat it.
Doink's OL has got their starting QB hurt every year going back to Manning....
Wilson started five 2021 games in which they scored 17 or fewer points...including his first ever shut out. He had two in 2020... [Reply]
