Dee Ford minus the back injuries and the stupid mistakes would be a great get. Pass rush wins games, having guys like Benitto to bring in on 3rd down and to close out the 1st and 2nd half is going to be extremely valuable. [Reply]
The problem with Bonitto is he isn’t Dee Ford. Dee was a lot stronger. He benched 29 reps with longer arms while Bonitto did 22. He’s also a very undersized backer according to his scouting report his hands are not heavy either. So he seems about maxed about as in he won’t get bigger. I think that’s why he won’t be that strong compared to NFL OL.
He’s gonna have a rough time unless he’s rushing on obvious passing downs IMO. But even then you put him against Brown Jr or Kinnard for example. He stands no chance bullrushing either. He’s not pushing either into Patrick’s lap. He just isn’t winning that. And everyone knows it.
So basically his best option is the speed rush. But bigger tackles like ours know that’s his best shot and will be ready to kick step immediately. Even then Bonitto’s short arms will be going against guys with 35+ inch vines forcing a longer route to the QB. His hands don’t appear strong enough to win that leverage battle either.

I was talking about both McDuffie and Karlaftis. McDuffie's arms are under 30''. Out of the 172 DB's in Brugler's draft guide the past two years, only 11 of them had arms shorter than 30''. [Reply]

But you had lots of pass rushers the past 7 years and lost more games than anyone else in the division by a pretty good margin. :-)
You own last place... [Reply]

No you weren't and we all know it. You were just repeating that about the short arms of Karlaftis some mentioned in the draft day thread for him. When you made the comment on page 2852 of this thread you had made no mention on McDuffie. But, I will give you credit for something. You have perfected the art of the head turning emoji in all your posts :-):-) [Reply]

Mahomes doesn't have big hands, either. Your point exactly? [Reply]

But hey....now they've got a coach who sat on the bench and picked his nose while Lafleur called plays for Aaron Rodgers.
Russell Wilson on @GMFB . He's dialed in, going through the roster, 1 by 1, on who's impressed him. I'm sold. May take the Broncos out of the AFC West.

He can still be a good player, but 99.9% of the WR's he'll be covering are going to have a significant length advantage. A 5'10'', short-armed CB is going to naturally give up plays that a longer corner wouldn't in certain situations. [Reply]

Too bad our two best rushers only played 5 games together over the last 3 seasons. [Reply]
