Outside of that, it wasn't that exciting. More of a "film" than a hollywood hit.
I watched Bob Marley: One Love the other night. I thought it was well done. But admittedly, it was a real struggle to figure out WTF they were saying most of the time. I turned on subtitles, but that didn't really help much either. The subtitles were the same Jamaican slang they were speaking, so you'd end up with subtitles like "Ja Mon, I and I fi gon down ta store." :-) But the story was cool, and it was well done other than the difficulty understanding the dialect. I watched Anna (2019 on Netflix). It's decent enough. At some level it tries to be Wick which it fails at, but it's a pretty decent spy flick nonetheless. It does some Nolan-esque fucking with the timeline, but after the initial shock wears off, it works pretty well.
I didn't see a bunch of the turns and the end was a pretty fun little ride. It's not life changing, but it's a good watch. [Reply]
Finally got to watch "Late Night with the Devil". I've been a bit of a fan of David Dastmalchian since his break in The Dark Knight, and he really nails the 70's talk show host with probably the best piece of acting I've seen this year. It's like The Network meets The Exorcist. For those who were around in the 70s, I think you will get a big kick out of this.

I watched it a few nights ago. Enjoyed it. There’s a kid who did a review (with spoilers) that covers all the Easter eggs and symbolism on YouTube that was entertaining as well. [Reply]
