OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

Brady game managed a top defense for 5 years and tagged along. His growth was slow and over a prolonged period. Brady even admitted it was the 10 year gap between SB's that made him become the preparation maniac we now know him as - he was not naturally that guy.

Mahomes left the draft that guy. Brady needed D Ford to beat Mahomes in Pat's first year. He is already the greatest come from behind QB in post season history. Pat has more come backs down 10 in the playoffs than any QB in history.

Pat will have the first 3peat and 4straight SB run in history.

He will ****ing lap Brady. Pat was built in a lab with every single attribute you'd want a top QB to have. There is no ability that's desired in a QB that Pat lacks - and most qualities he's either tops or in the top of the NFL.

Pat is already the greatest QB to ever play - it's only a matter of when it was you first realized it and how long it took you to see it.
Just keep winning. The haters out there won't even admit he's the best QB of this younger generation below age 30, never mind giving him credit as one of the all-time greats. So keep winning and make them eat crow in the long run.

Still the Grim Reaper imo. He’s brings death to other franchises, fan bases, dreams. And just when you think you’ve out dueled Death. He comes right back and burns your hopes to the ground.

Dude has single-handedly (with help from his teammates and coaches obviously) kept other “elite quarterbacks” from getting to a SB, or winning one. Like the Burrow interview I saw. He said Pat is HIM, and he’s 1 of 1. Fiercest competitor, and a cold blooded killer on the football field.

I guarantee you, most teams just hope he gets defeated before they have to deal with him!

+1

I’ve always loved the nickname and it’s only become more fitting as time has gone on.

He has stopped generational talents like Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson from the chance at competing for a title. He stopped Joe Burrow from a legacy defining chance at Super Bowl redemption.

He has robbed a potential NFC Dynasty (the 49ers) from a single Super Bowl win - and has the chance to do the same against the Eagles today. With his three rings coming into Super Bowl 59 all being 4th quarter comebacks.

The dude is the pallbearer of broken dreams. No name captures that better than the Grim Reaper.

With turf toe, during Covid where he was sequestered and flew in to play the game the day before as opposed to sleeping in his own bed for 2 weeks, after his coaches son damn near killed someone driving drunk three days before the game...and on and on...

I don't even count that Tampa loss...nobody can overcome that shit. Brady would have been fucked.

There was a whole lot of suckage there up front in that game. Wylie, in particular...blows goats.

No, for most people (almost EVERYONE), Brees is what they SHOULD be emulating.
100% true. But nothing new. Just like all the dudes that would have excelled in a spread offense, but Bill Parcells type assbags that needed to be Drew Bledsoe.

But yeah, we're going to see a lot of wannabe Mahomes go ahead and be not-Mahomes.

Patrick Mahomes is fuck you to all the Brotherfucking Cheatriot Fuckbags that do nothing but downplay all the meteoric success and absolutely unprecedented production because those Brotherfucking Cheatriot Fuckbags don't want Brady to be surpassed.

Patrick Mahomes is fuck you to all the assface twat waffles that want to downplay the meteoric success and absolutely unprecedented production because he's not on a coast or for some fucking reason, Dallas.

Patrick Mahomes is the full embrace of not giving a flying fucking feces about what anyone else thinks or tries to diminish. Patrick Mahomes is fuck you to anyone and everyone that hates us. Fuck fucking you. Because he's the best there's ever been.

We actually have data on this. Mahomes was the most pressured QB in SB history.

Brady was pressured at a rate very close to this in 2 SB’s vs the Giants.

He lost both

League circles indicate that Patrick Mahomes has grown bored of football because it is too easy. After he wins his 4th Super Bowl tonight he will retire and play minor league baseball for the Birmingham Barons.

I don't know exactly what the pressure rate ended up being tonight, but it must have been off the charts.

Can’t play good every game. Unfortunately tonight was a very bad game from him

You have to figure we probably have 10 years left with Mahomes at QB.

Getting to a Super Bowl and losing sucks ass - but we'll be back.

Mahomes has some things to work on this off-season, but he probably knows that better than any of us.

I hate that this is a defining legacy breaker. It suck’s but Mahomes can never be better than Brady now.

I’m still thankful as hell for him though

He's still young. But it's a big setback.
