The NFCW had a few down years, but for the most part it has consistently been one of the toughest divisions in football. The 49ers, Rams, and Seahawks have all been to multiple Super Bowls during Russ' career and the Cardinals went to the NFCCG once.
And Russ is going from Jimmy G, Kyler and Goff/1 year of Stafford to Mahomes and Herbert alone which is better than all of those QB’s combined. Before last year Russ was the best QB in his division. Now he’s likely 3rd best.
He’s essentially playing with the same level of talent from Seattle but against a far better division.
And his team has no way to get supreme talent bc they don’t have a pick until the last one in the 2nd rd and then until rd 3 the year after.
As if that didn’t make it hard enough, Russ will be getting a new contract next offseason which will be far more weighted than Patrick’s due to the rise in salary from guys paid after Patrick to Watson’s ridiculous gauranteed contract that has made the QB market explode. [Reply]

Denver has everything they need, and are a much better and deeper team than SEA. The Chiefs need some supreme talent. Denver has a lockdown corner, a franchise QB, an elite safety, 4 very good WR's, an elite RB, and a franchise LT.
They're good everywhere else too. They go 4 deep at EDGE, have Dre'mont and DJ Jones on the inside, a good group of ILB's, solid starters and depth all over the OL, a good young TE...
They could use some developmental players at corner, RT, and at IDL, but they could skip the draft altogether this year and still have one of the five best rosters in the league.

Denver will be in better shape contract-wise at QB than KC over the next four years. You guys already took advantage wasted the cheapest part of Mahomes' deal.
Denver has Russ playing at $24M in 2022 and $27M in 2023, Mahomes will be at $35.7M in 2022 and $46.7M in 2023 and Mahomes' hit won't be under $40M again unless they do another restructure. [Reply]

Chiefs did more in 4 years with Mahomes than the Broncos did with Manning, the Seahawks did with Russ, the Broncos did with Elway until he was 37 and the Bills with Josh Allen’s rookie contract.
Also lmao on top 5 roster. Denver doesn’t even have a top 2 roster in its own division.
Nobody is buying Albert O, Hamler or Jeudu until they actually do something. Chubb is a massive bust for a top 5 pick as well. [Reply]

Chubb? Bust? No way, I'm super happy we took him over Josh Allen. [Reply]

You are seriously overvaluing your team.
The donk show has serious holes in both the O Line and the D Line. You know, the most pivotal areas of football where games are won. You have not supplemented that in free agency and surely you won't in the draft.
You keep forgetting that the Chiefs and Chargers both have just as good if not better rosters than the donk show but they have much more – a better QB. [Reply]
