Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]
#Chiefs WR Justin Watson tells me Patrick Mahomes talked to him about clinching the 1 seed on Christmas Day back when the schedule was released. More from @jwat05 tonight on Kansas City Huddle at 11pm on @fox4kc. #ChiefsKingdompic.twitter.com/SdFAEaLLxE

I’m not sure Burrow has the regular season pedigree to match Marino, to be honest. Marino doing what he did in the mid 1980’s was almost unheard of. I actually think Burrow’s remarkably close to Boomer Esiason if we’re comparing him to QB’s from that era.
(I also wasn’t around during that time, but have always loved watching games from that era). [Reply]

Before the last superbowl Nate Burleson said to Pat at the end of an interview, "finish this sentence for me. After the superbowl the kansas city chiefs will be?" And Pat without hesitation said "a dynasty". Then at the parade he stood on stage and said "we're getting that number one seed". So Pat has a history of this. Hell word is he even texted his wife before the Miami wildcard game and told her "I've decided we're going to win the superbowl. We're not done" :-) [Reply]

Yeah, he was pretty good most of that game. We had a couple short drives that ended in punts and a missed field goal which is why we only had 7 on the board at half.
The two 9ers games were the ones he got off to slower starts. Well, it was pretty slow in the 2023 SB up until the muffed punt that happened late in the 3rd, IIRC. In the 2019 SB he was OK for the first half, had a bad 3rd plus part of the 4th, then just went nuclear in the last 7 minutes or so.

I only ask because I think DJ has made that argument about Elway in the past. Obviously Mahomes is not Elway but I was curious about his opinion on the subject. [Reply]

We had 14 at the half against the Eagles (if you count the defensive tuddy) with our offensive drives without points coming from a missed PI, a missed field goal, and the drive Mahomes reaggravated his ankle injury.
Patrick put on a clinic that entire game. It honestly was one of my favorite games from him because of how good he had to be (especially in like, what, the 20 minutes we had the football?) to overcome the show Hurts and the Eagles offense put up on the other side. [Reply]
