The odds of Paton getting legit gamechanging players like Surtain or Williams outside of the top 60 picks is low.
That’s bad for you considering the Chiefs have tons of early picks and money right now
Denver still has a late R2 pick in this draft... the last couple of drafts have gone pretty well, Denver has a lot of young talent. Missing the first 2 rounds in 2023 is not going to cripple the franchise. [Reply]

FYP.
No, it's not. But sure is going to make #ThePatonPlan's margin for error a LOT smaller for hitting on 'impact' players the next 2 drafts. [Reply]

So if Hardman is 'trash', so are Jeudy and Patrick. You have ONE guy who has proven something . . . . . Sutton. And that was for ONE season. Outside of that, he too has basically been as successful as Hardman. So 'trash', right?
Hardman has had every opportunity to be a guy in KC. He's had a smart, pass-happy offensive coach and a top 5 QB his entire career. Jeudy showed elite flashes as a rookie, but didn't have the QB to thrive. Russell Wilson saw it:
If KJ Hamler can just stay healthy, he's going to be dangerous now the he's paired with the best deep ball thrower in the NFL.

Dumbshit.
Jonathan Taylor's production earns him the title of best young RB, but those other guys you listed are all on their second contract. Javonte Williams will be mentioned among the elite backs in the league after this year. You guys saw first hand how good he is. You knew our offense was going to run it every down and you still couldn't stop him.

When you're the only team in your division without a Pro Bowl QB, you're going to have a hard time finishing anywhere but last in your division. [Reply]
Juju played with Mason Rudolph and a QB that is now in the CFL while Ben was out for the season and he still scored TD’s. Teddy did well with WR’s in Carolina but not Jeudy?
It’s embarrassing that highly touted top picks like Jeudy got 0 TD’s and Chubb got 0 sacks [Reply]

Well, if Russell Wilson says he's gonna be a star, I'm sure it'll happen. Did you happen to get the lottery numbers from DangeRuss too since he's able to predict the future?
And, besides, Jeudy showing 'elite flashes' is the EXACT same argument we can make for Hardman. Hardman showed 'elite flashes' his rookie year.
"If K.J. Hamler can stay healthy . . . . . . . ." then blah, blah, blah, blah (that's about all that's worth at this point). Lots of 'potentially' great NFL players couldn't stay healthy.
Again on Javonte, I'm not saying he sucks. But you acting like a guy averaging 4.4 ypc is taking the league by storm and is some unstoppable force . . . . . . just stop. He's NOT Jonathan Taylor. Thanks for conceding that your original point on that was dumb. [Reply]

Jeudy missed more than a third of the season with a high ankle sprain. When he came back, our offensive philosophy had shifted to an extremely run heavy, no mistake, R2P2 offense.
There is a good chance Jeudy will have more yards and TD's this year than he had his first two years combined. [Reply]

So you marking him down for 1400 yards this season?
And on the TD's . . . . . . . . really going out on a limb there, aren't ya? [Reply]

Can an already crippled child become more crippled...I guess if you take away their crutches.
I'm failing to see how Wilson, with Lockett and Metcalf, didnt win multiple SBs...seems like with Russel's superior talent....it should have been a forgone conclusion.
They did win a post-season WC game...where Wentz threw 4 passes....and Josh McCown had to play. Seattle scored 17 points...
Since 2015, his play-off wins were against Detroit...and a 10-9 whipping of the Vikings (Bridgewater). He hasn't won anything beyond the WC round..,.
Wilson has averaged 17.6 points in those 3 WC wins.
McCown and Bridgewater are some impressive post-season pelts on the wall...it took 27 combined points to beat them.
They should have lost the NFCCG to the Packers in their 2014 SB year....the game was over and GB muffed an onside kick. It was essentially a miracle win...without that 1 in a 100 fumble, Wilson wouldn't have made it to another SB.
Seahawks had scored 14 points up to that point.
Thems the facts....
Just to refresh you memory...it's listed among the the worst post-season gaffes in history.
Given the state of the Doinks....just having a chance to score 17 points in a WC loss is something to look forward to. [Reply]

Without this play...Wilson would have only advanced past the divisional round once in his career...9 years ago.
Yeah, I guess there's just nothing positive to expect... oh well. [Reply]
