Well, I'm not going to justify the shitty numbers any more than say the offensive coaching staff and QBs were incredibly less than desirable.

If those WRs do not drastically improve with Wilson and the new coaching staff, then paint them all with the failed spare brush.

Hamler missed nearly all of last season, Jeudy played in 6 fewer games and 9 fewer starts - the targets fell from 113 as a rookie to 56. So, there was not a lot of things going well across the board, but you know that. In 2020, Hamler and Jeudy's rookie season, Sutton missed a lot of time thanks to injury. So, this group has not played much together. This is a team that has passed for 40 total TDs the last two seasons...

The Broncos have a lot to prove with a new staff, first time head coach... new QB. Sutton, Patrick, Jeudy and Hamler can be a very solid group and now they have a QB that can make things happen.

How are they top heavy? Top heavy is when you have two elite skill players on offense and absolute trash everywhere else. Denver goes 4 deep at WR, has the best young RB in the NFL, and a young TE with potential. They have talent sprinkled all over.

Defensively, Denver is in a great spot in the secondary with legit starters at every position. And we have a very good 4 man rotation at EDGE with Chubb, Gregory, Jonathon Cooper and Malik Reed, and have two stud interior players in D.J. Jones and Dremont Jones.


The Broncos need depth, mostly. They could use a long term answer at RT and maybe a #2 RB if we don't bring back Melvin Gordon. But other than that, they don't have any holes.
Veach had an excellent draft last year. His best one by far. His previous three drafts look like hot garbage, with some hits on solid players but with zero high impact players.

Your best drafted players were taken in the top 10 and top of the 2nd rd. Now you don’t have those resources for the next 2 years unless you trade more of them up to get it.

The odds of Paton getting legit gamechanging players like Surtain or Williams outside of the top 60 picks is low.

We're all very worried.

Most of us here watched Albert O. play at Mizzou for 3 years. He had a decent nose for the end zone in college, but that was about it. He never put up more than 450 yards in a college season. And he had trouble staying healthy.

In 2 years with Denver, he's had trouble staying healthy, put up 3 TD's in 2 years, and had his most successful season last year with 330 yards on 40 targets.
