We’re supposed to be scared of that after the last one?

No, because you're not even in the conversation.

Well, considering your WR room is Patrick, Sutton and Judy and not Chase, Higgins and Boyd, yes, you should be.

But who are we kidding. You won’t be playing in the AFC Title game this year.

We all know that. You guys do too.

So you think it was just a coincidence they pulled the trigger on Wilson hours after Rodgers decided to stay with GB?

I don’t know if they had Rodgers or Wilson as their #1 target, but I’m very happy with the results. I had assumed Wilson would have cost significantly more than he did.

I don't know how it went down. It seems likely that they had the Wilson deal done prior to Rodgers' announcement.

Maybe Paton let Rodgers know he was going to go with Seattle's deal and Rodgers made his announcement.

Maybe Rodgers left Paton at the alter and Denver pivoted to the Russell deal.

Maybe Seattle wanted to wait until Rodgers' announcement in order to deaden the media noise on the Wilson trade.

So Paton was tampering with Rodgers by having direct contact with him while he’s under contract?

Rapsheet said that Rodgers was torn about whether he was going to stay in GB or go to Denver. I'd assume Denver would let Rodgers or his agent know if they were going in another direction.

Paton being in contact with Rodgers during the offseason about any plans involving him coming to Denver is tampering.

Also, I highly doubt that Paton decided to call up Rodgers and let him know that they were trading for Wilson instead....AND THEN Rodgers made his decision.

Be smarter than this.

Who would you rather have in Denver's situation?

General Paton does not mess around

Denver got more for Von Miller midseason than Chicago got for Khalil Mack.

The Broncos got the 32nd pick in the 2nd round and the equivalent of a 3rd in terms of value.

The Chargers got the 17th pick in the 2nd round.

It’s really not much of a difference at all, but I guess you have to blow things out of proportion when your GM has accomplished nothing on the field.
