There is no one better in the clutch in the history of football than Patrick Mahomes.

He made some vintage plays on that final drive. The coach didn't help him much today. Needed to run more and call more short passing plays.

37 throws to get 210 yards is actual ass cheeks.

Clutch 3rd down conversions on the final drive though. That’s that shit that keeps me coming back.

Eh we were against a Top 3 defense and he was vintage when it matters. I’ll take that ever time.

And he juked Derwin James to get the pass off. James is as good of a d-back as the league has. If James sacks him, Wright misses that kick.

Unreal

There's never been anyone better than this guy when it truly matters. He just elevates in the big moments unlike very few ever have (in any sport).

Unreal
And even if Wright still made it, the Chargers would've had a minute and change to get their own game winner.

Five fourth quarter comebacks and seven game-winning drives now.

All-time season from Mahomes.

And all-time record against AFC West opponents is now 35-5.

That was a "Super Bowl" worthy throw/play. Kelce finding the space in the defense too.

Got to be better, Mahomes!

Pass protection is strange.

The left side of the line holds up, and Thuney gets a slab shot on Bosa. The right side plays the twist perfectly, but Mahomes runs ahead in the pocket and ends up being sacked.

Looks like 8 might have improvised a little too soon... pic.twitter.com/pGcqq7D3D1

So there’s a decent chance that in Year 8 of his career, Mahomes could have as many Super Bowl appearances as AFC West losses.

Mahomes said in his press conference Kelce was supposed to be running a corner route. Pat looked up and there he was standing there looking at him. :-)
