37 snaps in 5 games, most of which came his first week here and he was around the QB a ton that game.
We know how these guys operate, though. You don’t fit the system perfectly, you’re not going to play. This one specifically never made a lot of sense scheme wise, guessing the price was just so good they figured why not give it a shot. [Reply]

Kind of joking, but shoot, it wouldn't surprise me if they're trying to get by without using him much until the playoffs so they can spring their top uses of him on unsuspecting opponents. [Reply]
really dont understand why this guy isnt even getting snaps on obvious pss rush downs. We cannot get pressure right now. Why not see what we have? [Reply]

He wasn't on the active roster last night. [Reply]
I may be imagining this but I swear in the last couple of weeks I saw a 3rd down snap where he came into the game to speed rush from the edge and CJ moved him inside because he wanted the edge match up, and Uche looked at him like "I'm rushing from the interior???" [Reply]

Yeah if they're hellbent on never using this guy in the only way you can, it's kind of a waste of time and a pick, even a late one. Honestly, our pass rush is so God damn slow it's a bummer not seeing him given a chance [Reply]

We can only hope that Duncan is right, and we're kinda saving him as a surprise x factor for the playoffs [Reply]
Tbh, I haven't noticed him except a couple snaps, and that was a couple weeks ago. It seems odd that we're not utilizing him more in obvious passing downs, considering he's literally the only speed rusher on the defense. [Reply]

Our usage of players is pretty frustrating. I just have to remind myself that Andy Reid has learned he can win games while using a regular season as a test kitchen. Much as we may bitch about rotations and starters early in the season, he generally gets it right by the postseason. So we may give more reps to guys like Nazeeh and FAU and Danna, less reps to DHop and uche. We may hold off on overloading Pacheco too soon after the injury. Unfortunately we try to squeeze every drop out of lemons like skyy Moore.

I’m hopeful that’s all this is.
My thought has been that Uche wouldn't get a lot of snaps right off the bat because the defense is so complicated. Spags has 20 different plays for just C-Zero, fcs.
So it hasn't surprised me that much that Uche wasn't getting a lot of snaps right off the bat. But it's been a few weeks now, and his snaps haven't seemed to increase at all, which feels like Uche isn't absorbing the playbook nearly as quickly as hoped? But then last night he isn't even active? Feels not good to me. [Reply]

If all he's doing is come into rush the passer, then it doesn't matter if he doesn't know the playbook. All he has to do is lineup across from the OT and then beat him. [Reply]

Come on, you have to know by now that just isn't how Spags operates. He wants this guy to fit into the defense, which means he has to learn at least some small portion of the playbook.
And even on pure passing downs, there's a lot of communication going on, all lot of moving players and parts before the snap. He can't just line up and rush any way he wants. That's simply not how things work in Spags world. [Reply]
