I was bored and watched all three episodes that have been aired so far on OnDemand. I actually think the show is pretty damn good so far, I like the character a lot. [Reply]
It wasn't a bad start. The snakes thing was pretty creepy. It almost seems that religion will play a huge part in the theme of this season. Angel telling Dexter about why he believes in God was hilarious!
I like the fact that they're setting up the story to get back near the original setup. It's somewhat like a clean slate.
Wow- it was nice to see Tom Hanks again. He's looking good for his age... what? Oh... that man cloned his son. LOL! [Reply]
I was very impressed with the first episode. Last season was kinda meh and definitely had it's holes, but was still very good just not up to their usual level. It looks like this season has potential to be excellent. Can't wait for the next episode, sucks to have to wait a week. [Reply]
This show needed a good villain and foil for Dexter again. Last year didn't cut it in that regard, but they might have one this season in Hanks' son. [Reply]

So, unless someone can suggest another non-cop, who gives a good storyline dealing with the turmoil of whether or not to turn him in, I'm not sure I can stand by my statement. (I don't think Deb would be believable at this point.)
SPOILERS
I don't know how to do the damn tags, I'm sorry. But in the novels, Deb knows at the end of the Rudy arc, and is ultimately fine with it. There's no real reason she shouldn't be able to handle it on the show. [Reply]

To do spoilers (as above), simply put the word spoiler and /spoiler between square brackets. Like this (with no spaces):
[ spoiler ] Text you want hidden here. [ /spoiler ]
So now for my response...
Spoiler!
If they were going to do the Deb knows arc, it should have been earlier in the series. At this point, I think Deb would flip her shit and either go on a killing spree herself or go into the fetal position and become an emotional wreck. I think either way, that news would destroy her.
Just inching along... Deb's a LT, Quinn gets dumped, and Dex has someone to target. Looking forward to seeing Colin Hanks wrapped in plastic. So far no real curveballs... [Reply]
