Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

People always sleep on that insane throw on the lateral play Kelce made to LeSean McCoy.
The play was amazing by Kelce, but the Mahomes throw was impossible. Drifting to his right, hitting Kelce who was sprinting in the opposite direction. [Reply]

Slammed in the chest and throws it 40 yards downfield into a breadbox perfectly
Probably forgetting a couple that might also make it in that list :-)
Here’s why I think that throw might be better than those: Mahomes was stuck, couldn’t plant his feet and could barely see downfield. He also threw it projecting where Hopkins would be.he was getting hit in the chest when he lit that thing fly.
It also wasn’t a bad throw. It was just high enough above the first defender and just short enough to not be overthrown for the safety to pick it off.
It was literally a perfect throw in an incredibly difficult situation.

I'll say this -- it was so good that it makes it feel almost lucky to me.
I just can't convince myself that he put that fucker right in that bucket on much more than a chuck and a prayer. And that Hopkins simply did a fantastic job adjusting to it.
It's like getting Trey Smith in the 6th - I mean I'd love to say that's just fantastic scouting, but c'mon, even WE passed on him 4-5 times. It was a little bit of intelligence and a little bit of luck.
Sometimes when something works TOO well, I can only think there's an element of luck to it. [Reply]
