Denver can't compete with what the Giants and Eagles can offer from a draft pick standpoint.
Russell looked pretty chummy with the ‘Commish’ last night. Pretty sure he can get himself wherever he wants to go IF he wanted to force things.

Knowmo feeling like EB

The dream is dead. Maybe.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson tried to put all the trade rumors to rest Friday during an appearance with Chris Russo on Mad Dog Sports Radio. Per Pro Football Talk:

“I’ve been fortunate to be able to play 10 amazing years in Seattle,” Wilson said. “My hope and goal is to be back there and keep winning there. That’s the vision, that’s the goal. That’s always been it, never been anything different.”

Wilson trade rumors gained momentum last year as the Seahawks struggled to a 7-10 finish, putting them in last place in the NFC West.

The normally durable 33-year-old Wilson missed three games last season after needing surgery on the middle finger of his throwing hand. As a result, he finished with a career-low 3,113 passing yards.

But Wilson’s resume is impeccable: the nine-time Pro Bowl selection won Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium.

Both the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles have been mentioned as potential suitors for Wilson, who has a no-trade clause his contract.

However based on Wilson’s most recent comments, the Giants should be prepared to ride into next season with Daniel Jones while the Eagles should assume Jalen Hurts is their No. 1 quarterback moving forward.

He has a no trade clause so he can be somewhat picky in his destination, but he can't force Seattle to trade him. Rodgers' contract must be altered before the new league year and the Packers need his cooperation to touch it. Russ doesn't have that - or the verbal commitment to trade him after the season if he wanted.

Well, Rodgers is not leaving Green Bay... I hope you're prepared for that reality.

It's up to him. It's not like the Packers didn't have this all thought out months ago. He could've worked out a deal with Green Bay any time over the last three weeks and he hasn't. Seems to me the odds are at least 50/50 (and growing every day) that he's not playing for Green Bay next season.

Nothing can be inked until March 18th. There's no reason for them to rush.

You're a moron.

Why wrap it up 3 weeks ago when he can drive up a few extra dollars by dancing around the idea of being traded?

He can sign a contract extension any time he wants.

Yeah. Maybe him forcing them to chop off the remainder of his contract last year was a ploy to gain leverage for a new contract in 2022. I doubt it, because the Packers have probably offered him the moon and the stars already, but it could be.

No he can't.

He can agree to a new contract in principle but it can't be signed until the 2022 season starts March 18th.

Once again, you're a moron.

He's not a free agent. He's still under contract. He can sign an extension any time he wants. It's why they have to adjust his contract BEFORE March 18th, because if they don't they'd have major issues getting under the salary cap.

I think you're confused with trades. Trades cannot be consummated until the new league year. Contract extensions can happen at any time.

And they have until March 18th, still a month away.
