But this will be just as entertaining watching how Jimmy G was the actual PATONPLAN all along
Crazy thing is, they'll have to over pay for him especially if the 9ers get to the SB again

Speaking of Aaron, the Broncos hired former Packers Offensive Coordinator Nathaniel Hackett as their head coach. Hackett was the person closest to Aaron in the Packers coaching staff, and the "connect-the-dots" begins. The rumors about the Broncos and Aaron have been around for a while, and this feeds the flame. And the Broncos have Cap room and trade assets.

The Broncos front office has been impressive this year. They (1) acquired their starting quarterback (Teddy Bridgewater) for a low round pick and only paid him $4 million (the Panthers paid him $7 million when they traded him); (2) traded Von Miller, an aging star at the end of his contract, for 2nd and 3rd round picks; (3) hired a skilled offensive mind with close ties to a certain introspective quarterback, and (4) are soon to be sold for a record-setting franchise price. I have consistently said that Aaron would be traded in 2022, this only enhances that feeling.

You're carpetbag posting on the wrong site. Packitallin.com perhaps

Well, here we go... the Broncos are interviewing Klint Kubiak for the OC position. Klint is the QB coach in MIN, has been coaching for just over a decade and spent some time up through 2018 in Denver as an offensive assistant.

If they hire Klint as the OC and knowing that Paton also came from MIN... with our new HC having spent time in that division... the Broncos will make a trade for Kirk Cousins.

If they hire Klint... that's the move, bank on it.

It's easy to say that Cousins would be better than any QB since Manning retired, it's a low bar. Cousins is a 10 year vet and 33 years old. Not exactly the option I would like, but I would be ok with it for the right price.

Believe he has 1 year left with a whopping $45M in dead cap money, so they would have to restructure/sign and trade... however that works best.

57 games in WAS, he had 99 TDs and 55 INTs - record of 26/30/1
63 games in MIN, he had 124 TDS and 36 INTs - record of 33/29/1

Stats - greatly improved, W/L - not so much really.

1-3 overall in the playoffs, only made it once in MIN (2019) and his stats were lackluster.

Again, I'm not advocating for him by making this post... just saying, if Klint is the guy they hire, then watch... Cousins will be the play. I truly do not think they will have the stomach for a price to lure Rodgers at his age. I would hope they look at Wilson if he's really available, but who knows.

Ok, fire away.

Kubiak will not be OC, he's only being interviewed for a position on the offensive staff. Justin Outten, a Packers' TE coach, is the favorite to be our offensive coordinator.

Either way, Klint is the QB coach now in MIN... all the rest still applies because of those connections and their desire to get off to a strong start with a new offense.

Lol...if Ole mop head played in Elways day he'd look like Burt and Ernie got smashed between two 18 wheelers.

Agreed, you really cannot compare eras, especially for QBs.

All anyone has to do is watch highlights before 1995 (just picking a date) and see how much the game has changed with protecting the QB.

Elway retired in the top 3 of most relevant QB stat categories... right up there with Marino, Tarkenton and a few others. Marino was a rarity by most accounts with the numbers he consistently put up there.

Now, go look at the QBs in the top 12 of most relevant QB categories and they're all guys that started playing when Elway and Marino retired. It's insane really when you look at the yards, TDs, etc.

Elway is ranked 6th in wins, behind Brady, Peyton, Favre, Brees and Roethlisberger.. so when he retired after the 1998 season - Elway ranked first all time in total regular season wins.

Passing TDs, he was 3rd only behind Marino and Tarkenton. Now, Elway ranks 13th all-time in passing TDs.

It's just silly to try and compare players from different eras, especially when you're talking 20 years ago and truly understanding how much the rules have changed.

I think it would be really interesting to see how Montana, Fouts, Young, Moon, Cunningham, Tark, Elway, Marino and Kelly would do in this era of the NFL passing game. Hell, Troy Aikman might actually look like a strong QB. :-)

Dude...he almost lost his knee running a qb sneak. People ask why the derpy play in the second half yesterday...didn't look like himself...like he was drunk...he was...punch drunk. He's a great baller in this Era of football for sure...and I think he's tough, but he ain't 1980s 90s tough.

I agree...I would also love to see the reverse. Would Tom Brady make it to 46 and perform at a high level? I don't think so. Win 6 SB...fuck no.

Dude, you're so predictable it's laughable. I could give a horses ass what you think. Check back in 15 years and see who has accomplished more. My money is on #15. You can resort to comparing the preset to the past. I really can't blame you there. It's all you have. :-)
