And if I’m the Packers….I’m trying to rape the Broncos in trade value. What’s your backup plan if you don’t get him? The Packers can just dangle him to another team or let him retire. [Reply]

That's why I said the plan was not only poorly conceived but poorly telegraphed.
It's like blatantly obvious which gives the Packers ALL of the leverage. [Reply]
Rodgers still has all kinds of arm talent, but he's a fucking asshole. A prickly prima donna who is generally disliked, fosters hate and discontent in the locker room, and acts like anybody who drops a pass just shot his dog. Can you imagine what would happen if Pat refused to throw to Hardman or Pringle again after a drop, and spent the remainder of a game trying to force the ball to Hill and Kelce, no matter how well they're covered? Also, crumples like an empty beer can in the playoffs, and is 38 years old. That's Rodgers for you. He sure does own the Bears and Lions, though. Woohoo.
Go to Denver. Please. I hope they they trade away a dozen picks and mortgage the fucking stadium to get him. [Reply]
One thing I haven’t heard discussed today is that since the Broncos got an offensive minded HC, how does their defense possibly stay as good with all of their free agents and a huge downgrade at DC?
I mean, unless they get Zimmer, that defense is going to have some issues next year. [Reply]

The thing that could potentially keep the price down is that Rodgers has the say on where he goes. It's easy for the Packers to pretend that they'll let Rodgers retire and get nothing, but when push comes to shove, you're not going to turn down the 9th overall pick and at least a couple day 2 picks. The #9 overall pick alone is worth 1350 points on the trade chart, a pick between #29-#32 is worth roughly 600 points on the trade chart.
The price might not be as high as you think.
Good lord you just made yourself look dumb [Reply]

I hope you do it. You’re not keeping up with the Chiefs with only Aaron Rodgers.
Did I mention the Chiefs are an excellent drafting team and got an extra 3rd the next 2 years? :-)
For the broncos to get him, it'll also take some chloroform, handcuffs, and a couple of good tracking dogs when he goes into hiding in the woods. [Reply]
