Things are going so well academically! I made the President's List with a 4.0 grade average, which I have been able to do the entire time I've been here. Also, I just received the honor of Student of the Phase, which is given to students who excel academically, have 95% attendance, and go above and beyond by helping students, working in the field, or doing volunteer work. For the honor, I get a certificate and a parking space. Woohoo.
With the President's List, the Student of the Phase, passing my ALS exam, and surviving midterms this week, I will be so ready to celebrate up in KC this weekend.

Also got him a couple of buttons (one lights up) about being 60 and being old, along with a big beaded necklace, to wear to work Saturday. For the party, I just went with a couple of turning 60 centerpieces and a 4 ft long inflatable cane that says something about beating you if you tease him about his age.
didn't you request non-sports present suggestions? guess that didn't work out! dudes dig sports! :-)

I just got back from a job interview for a job I really want. I hit it out of the park. The department head actually said to me during the interview, "I like you, and I like your resume."

Damn man, I am so excited, I can't sit in one place. It's a position with a lot of responsibility in a very small company that's growing fast. This is the first time I've ever had a company contact me to solicit a job. It's direct hire, so no contracting bullshit either. I'm like a kid on Christmas eve, seriously.
Shredding is caught up. I guess I could file something.
I usually have a slow Friday about once per month, and I get all of the filing for my attorneys and the shredding all caught up. Just did that a few weeks ago, so there's not too much of either. I'm hoping that posting about it being a slow day will help jinx it and get me some work.
