He also has to play the Chargers and Raiders, both winning teams this year with good quarterbacks.

Looking at this objectively, Denver is the least appealing option by far.
Well, you have all of that... and then from a Broncos' perspective, knowing you have a dozen plus years of Mahomes and Herbert ... why mortgage the future in the next 2-3 drafts and acquire a QB that won't be playing in 3 years? It's just nonsensical. Let's not forget that Rodgers and the Packers only have 1 SB and that was a few years ago, they have a losing post season record the last 3 years with 39 regular season wins in that stretch.

Wonder if they'll try to poach Kafka in 2-3 years after this turd is fired.

If you're Rodgers why come out of a division where Kirk Cousins is your biggest threat?

I believe they have been gearing up for this trade for over a year, and that they were hoping to get him in Denver last year, but GB wouldn't budge. Elway was spotted golfing with Rodgers back in March of last year in Cali.

Everything they did last year makes sense if you view it through the Rodgers lens. It's why they held on to Drew, and only Drew for so long. It's why they traded for a cheap fallback QB the night before the draft. It's why they didn't pursue Justin Fields or Mac Jones, and chose a corner instead. It's why they traded Von Miller for a 2nd and a 3rd. It's why they gave Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick contract extensions mid-season. It's why they fired Fangio and hired Rodgers' Offensive Coordinator. This has all been planned out with Rodgers in mind.

Because the team peaked in 2021 and is due for a Saints-like overhaul due to the salary cap.

A GM is banking on a trade going down an entire year ahead of time?

And if Rodgers decided to retire and go play Jeopardy? Or decided he's a Packer for life?

Either Paton is a fucking idiot or you are. Or both.

Looking at this objectively, Denver’s situation is very unappealing
All Denver needs on the OL is a RT and they're good. They're loaded everywhere else offensively.

The Packers don't have a lot to work with at the skill positions. It's why Rodgers was so angry when they drafted Jordan Love instead of a WR. All they have is Davante Adams, Aaron Jones and a bunch of blocking TE's.

LaFleur may not be as great as you think. He or his handpicked ST staff have let down the Packers in the playoffs in each of the last two years.

You ever think that maybe Denver isn't as loaded as you think?

Only Sutton has proven he can put up any kind of production to be considered a true #1 guy at his position. The rest of them get the magic wand excuse of, "The QB wasn't any good!"

You ever consider that maybe Tim Patrick is Demarcus Robinson with a much higher contract? That Noah Fant and Albert Oasfgldughskdf, anlskfu are just kind of there? That KJ Hamler doesn't need targets or coaching or a QB or anything like that, because he just plain sucks?

I think Paton has better information than you and I do. He isn't wishing in one hand and shitting in another, here.

Sure he is. He's banking on something going down a full fucking year ahead of time in the freaking NFL, which is far more of an unpredictable league than MLB or the NBA.

Rodgers is not coming to the AFCW to play against Mahomes, Herbert, Carr.... and then Allen early in the Post-season.

If he were smart he would stay with the Packers to play against: Fields, Cousins, Goff.
(The Pack aren't going to trade him in division so....)

If he could go to the Bucs and play against that shitty division.

You know that jump the Chiefs offense made from 2017 to 2018? Denver is going to be getting that.

These guys are going to be totally different players. Chiefs fans know how much a top 5 QB changes an offense.
