Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

I assume this is good ole fashioned trolling and sarcasm. Falsely inflating a clear pale imitation over the original to help a clear loser to feel better about themselves.

That or somewhere they still allow homes to be built under high voltage power lines... [Reply]

When my kid was playing high school volleyball, I saw some wall of honor stuff for local kids that went on to be names in pro sports when she traveled to play other high schools. Josh Freeman had one at Grandview, Jevon Crudup had an impressive one at Raytown South (he just towered over his teammates in the photos, lol), and of course Albert Pujols at Fort Osage. The one Fort O built for Pujols is a damned monument (still can't believe the Royals let this local kid slip through their fingers, even after he destroyed everything at Maple Woods for a season!).
It's cool to see high schools do that for their athletes that go on to make it in the pros, much less establish Hall of Fame potential (in the case of Pujols and Mahomes, anyway). [Reply]

Hell, Texas Tech dumped our traditional rules to put Mahomes in the Tech Ring of Honor. Typically it requires First Team All-American status at Tech, which is extremely rare in our history. Patrick was a great college player, but the team around him was so bad there was no way for him to get those votes for 1st Team All-American or The Heisman. There were only 7 guys in the Tech Ring of Honor before Mahomes.
Tech power brokers decided Mahomes is too important to our school to snub him on this deal. They put him in the Ring of Honor during the 2022 season, and he won 2 more Super Bowls after that. Last year Mahomes helped the Tech athletic department get a lucrative clothing & shoe deal with Adidas, effective this summer and going 10 years. Tech was previously with Under Armour for about 20 years. [Reply]
