We did randomized last year (Yahoo assigns your position 30 minutes before the draft starts). Planning to do the same unless everyone feels strongly otherwise. I guess we could do a RNG earlier if people really wanted to be locked in and spend time mock drafting. [Reply]

Let’s talk draft date/time. I’ll start off by saying I’m high maintenance and an asshole. I Have a vacation scheduled Sept 2-10 where I’ll have limited/no internet access. As commissioner I have the power to kill those dates and I’m exercising it! I also have existing conflict on the 1st which limits my availability. I don’t care about waiting until after final cuts to draft (mid day Aug. 30th), but I know some of you do.
I’d float the following options. Please share your availability and we will roll with the one that works for the most teams:
Aug. 26 (Fri) - 8pm CT
Aug. 27 (Sat) - 1pm CT
Aug. 27 (Sat) - 6pm CT
Aug. 28 (Sun) - 1pm CT
Aug. 28 (Sun) - 8pm CT
Aug. 30 (Tues) - 8pm CT
Aug 31 (Wed) - 8pm CT
Saturday August 27th at 6pm CT received the most votes. Of those who responded: Burt, Tye, and Iowa are unable to join at that time. I’m going to set that as our official draft time on Yahoo - but happy to discuss here on the forum if there is a way to tweak it (such as shifting forward/back an hour) in order to increase participation.
Edit: pushing back to 7pm CT to accommodate Burt being high maintenance... [Reply]
One possible alternative & Something I’m usually against, we could start tomorrow and span the draft over the next 2 weeks. I’d give 10 hours to make your picks with the intent that people would be MUCH quicker in the evenings. Would require setting up a group text chain.
To be clear, I vote against this idea as I think it would be an absolute cluster (and lose the excitement of a live draft) - but I’m willing to entertain it if a majority feel otherwise. [Reply]
