Montana never threw for 4,000 yards in a season, and only threw 30 TDs in a season once (31). His stats in KC were mediocre at best.

I'm not saying he was terrible, I'm just saying he isn't worthy of holding Mahomes' jock because Mahomes is far superior to Montana in every category.

Citing 4,000 yard seasons or 30 TD seasons is nonsense because an elite season in 1985 was 3700 yards and 25 TD.

That's why Montana was top 4 in yards, TDs and passer rating when he retired.
