Wilson would only be successful with Sean Peyton.

4. A group that Peyton Manning is forming.
5. The descendants of the broncos' previous owner, Edgar Kaiser, are saying that they have right of first refusal to buy the team

Apparently alliances could be forming based on the following politics.

One of the daughters doesn't like elway and vice versa.

The current executive committee prefers manning's group over the others, but they're not averse to one of the daughters (not sure which).

Apparently elway and Manning are not going to team up for reasons I'm not clear about.

Apparently no one likes one of the daughters, which may or may not be the one that also dislikes elway. Obviously I'm not keeping a close eye on this.

The team doesn't like the claim from the Kaiser descendants and apparently they've tried this in the past without success.

With all that in mind, my thinking is that we may end up with the following groups:

1. A widely disliked daughter that no one will support, who'll only get the team if she can win a lawsuit. Odds: 1%

2. The Kaiser team, who'll only get the team if they can win a lawsuit. Odds: 1%

3. The elway team, who'll be resisted by everyone. Odds: 5%

4. Whichever daughter is not widely disliked, who may end up partnering with Manning. Odds: 20%

5. The Manning team, which I think will be the frontrunner, especially if they team up with the popular daughter. Odds: 33%

Of course, none of that will matter if some uber-rich person like Jeff Bezos or Mark Cuban comes in and tips everything over. Odds: 40%
Brittney is the daughter the Trust wants, Beth Bowlen is the oldest daughter that Joe Ellis doesn't like, he fired her from the team years ago. It's a hot mess. I haven't seen any actual evidence that Elway and Manning are at the head of any ownership groups. NFL demands there only be one majority owner that speaks for the team. The Kaiser claim is weak but in the sale to Bowlen back in the 80s Kaiser retained the right of first refusal if Bowlen put the team up for sale. Kaiser is dead, but haven't read the contract. Anywho...that's were we are at.

If it's true that the Saints are one of his preferred teams, then that's where he will end up. Shawn Payton would do for him what Andy Reid did for Alex Smith.

This. More likely than not Seattle gets rid of Carroll. It's not like he is 45. No way Seattle bails on the franchise QB who still has many good years left for a guy who could retire at any moment.

What I loved about beating them was how we, once again, showed people like Knowmo why QBs and not RBs run this league.

The Saints and working under that coach would be ideal for him... problem is they're projected to be like $59M over the cap next year. The cap can be worked out most of the time, but they have a cap mess to sort out before they can fit Wilson in there.

And, does SEA want to trade him within the NFC?

Denver is like $48M under the projected cap... they have a strong nucleus of skill players at WR/TE/RB and the OL in a better place. The defense is sound.

Denver's main issues are coaching and QB, lots of others pieces in play and believe they have 11 picks next year - something like 5 in the first 3 rounds.

So, they can put something together and they have the cap room - having locked up Patrick and Sutton recently, with Jeudy and Hamler.

There's definitely no guarantee of where he goes, but Denver isn't in a bad position to land him by any means.

Dreams of Rodgers and Wilson.

Will probably get another year of Bridgewater and Lock because their GM thought Kirk Cousins was an adequate solution.

Cannot recall the options at the time.. Cousins has had a pretty decent statistical career so far. They're a weird one, lots of talent has gone through there and still on the team.

14%...not too shabby considering it's the second week of December.

Things are looking up...

It's one thing to sign him once.

But to re-sign him? Give him that second contract? At that price?

"That's just the going rate for QBs these days." No. You can still get QBs in Cousins' tier at a cheaper price than what they paid.

Paton was on staff for all of that.
