Hmm... that's it?
Well, can't let past performances cloud anyone's judgement. First thing first, I do know that Avery Johnson is cool/happy with it. So, no issues there. He was also part of Jordan Love's development when Love was in Utah State.
Secondly, he is a 2x COY at the MWC and worked with guys like Josh Heupel, David Yost, Sonny Cumbie, and Jeff Lebby and been part of high paced offenses.
Thirdly, he had a shit year 1 at Tech because of the mess dumbass Kliff left him in 2019, then in 2020 was dealing with covid (which for all intent and purposes, an "asterisk" season), and then was fired when Tech was 5-3 because they wanted a Texas guy and found one in Joey McGuire (who is ironically getting heat from Tech fans).
Finally, I'm glad K-State hired him as a Co-Coordinator because his diverse passing game experience should blend nicely with Riley's run concepts. [Reply]
So like the NIL do boosters just straight up pay players or is it kinda like super PACs where like there's rules but it's just kinda wink wink nudge nudge we're following the rules but not really and boosters give some no show endorsement or something [Reply]
I thought today was interesting the 2nd signing day nobody is talking about NIL in this regard. Nebraska signed a couple of kids as "walk ons" that are actually NIL. One was a Washington commit who left when DeBoer did then was going to UCLA but Kelly is interviewing for jobs, then another kid who was a Wisconsin commit. Also had offers from Penn St & Syracuse [Reply]
Chip Kelly leaves a HEAD COACH position at UCLA for an OC position at Ohio State presumably because of NIL reasons.
UCLA can’t compete in the NIL $$$ race.
BREAKING: UCLA’s Chip Kelly is expected to become the new OC at Ohio State, per source. Buckeyes head coach Ryan Day played for Kelly at UNH and later coached with him at three stops. https://t.co/PDDOB76rDq
