Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

If he was, it was for a very brief time in the late 00s and no longer than that.
The guy is the most overrated athlete in history. [Reply]

it’s the same thing as the discussion with Jordan/Russell. Everyone’s eyes can see that Jordan was a more talented player. Just like honest fans say about Mahomes over Brady.
The only argument is championships. If that’s all we consider for being the best player of all time, then why even have the discussion? Who has more rings? No debate. Crown them. Doesn’t work that way. [Reply]

I'm not arguing for Brady, just dismissing bad takes.
But the argument right now is longevity. Brady played 23 seasons and the length of Mahomes' prime and career right now is an unknown. You can argue Mahomes has the best peak, but that doesn't guarantee goat status. Ask Jordan who is probably going to end up losing it to LeBron once all is said and done despite winning more titles. I dont like the longevity as being the defining piece of the argument for one player over another.
If Mahomes quits football this off season I think he'd still be the best QB I've ever seen. But, Mahomes may not be considered the GOAT by many due to the longevity argument. [Reply]
