Some fun here. Edwards-Helaire rushed for 1,415 yards and 16 touchdowns as a junior .. all-purpose yards -- receiving (55 receptions, 453 yards) and kick returner (KEY) 10 returns, 214 yards pic.twitter.com/3Duq1jjy6J
Holy offense Bat Man. I love Clyde Edwards-Helaire. He is best Rb in the draft. Watkins and Hill deep. Kelce in the middle. And Edwards-Helaire underneath. Good Luck defenses.
Brett Veach told Andy Reid to watch some Clyde Edwards-Helaire film and told Reid you’ll see Brian Westbrook. Reid watched. Then got back to Veach and said he’s better than Westbrook.
I do like how after every Chiefs game there are so many fantasy nerds on twitter complaining about him getting no snaps and trying to use stats from 2 games this season to say he's actually decent and being let down by Andy Reid. [Reply]
But in the end, Pacheco is a better runner and Jet is a better pass-catcher and pass-blocker.
So apart from pure tendency breaking, what does MEH bring to the table?
Three headed committees only work if your committee sucks. With Pacheco and McKinnon, you have the bases covered for a genuine RBBC - ultimately MEH just doesn't have a role.
It's been a long-time coming.
I'm betting his long-term role is as a backup for a team that has a true 3-down back. Because MEH doesn't appear to have any standout strengths, but his weaknesses are pretty nominal as well. If you have him as a pure backup rather than part of a committee, he might still bring some value.
Think of him as a 6th starter type in a pitching rotation. His stuff isn't good enough to play up out of the bullpen in a specialist role. Nor is it good enough to be a genuine top 5 SP. He's there for long-relief stints and to play a larger role in the case of an injury. The specialists in the 'pen can't do that job as well as MEH could, nor could he do their job terribly well.
He's just a guy with an awfully narrow path to success at this point. [Reply]

It always amazes me how many people tell me "hey I'm starting CEH this week what do you think?". I'm always like are you paying attention. He does get his tds I suppose but the national opinion of this guy, from both fans and media, is much higher than ours is and that's putting it lightly lol. [Reply]
I have no hate for CEH and hope he can still contribute the rest of the year when he does play. They tried, he tried and it is what it is. P-dawg has more speed, vision and is more physical. [Reply]
Doesn't this trend feel like its headed toward Ronald Jones being activated this week or next? I mean they clearly like the production they are getting from McKinnon and Pacheco and unless Jones is redundant to either of those two it would make sense to activate him. [Reply]

I doubt Rojo gets activated. If anything, Pacheco's increased workload means they don't plan on bringing him in. [Reply]

When CEH was getting the majority of the snaps he was getting decent fantasy production....I was trying like hell to trade for him. I'm hoping Pacheco's fantasy production catches his snap count soon [Reply]
