My truck is sitting in the shop with two twin turbo cars, an LSX block car, and an aluminum 6.0 stock cubes/block car, both over 1500whp (thats as high as the dyno goes), and a procharged 1200 HP camaro that took 1st place in competition stock class at world of wheels in KC two weeks ago. Both the twin turbo cars have been 8s, and the procharged car 9s. All 3 are street cars, and yes, they are big turbo cars with forged motors and all the trimmings, including meth and the like. If I wanted too, I could have my TA pushing that kind of power with the snap of my fingers.
All I was getting at is that anyone with some cash can put an LS above 1000 and its not very hard, all it takes is boost, and of course, the shit that makes boost work. Its an oversimplification, but big boy boosted LS = 1000+hp and its easy enough that there are thousands and thousands of them running around. Most of them built in some jack offs garage. [Reply]
I gave up on GM's long ago, been as Mopar fan since the 70's and before.
I build or used to build Datsun Z motors, hardly ever jacked with building much GM stock. I did build 4 Ford 300's 6's that would reach out and bite you. All my buddy's did was small blocks, I built light cars with bad ass engines that would beat them at anything but the 1/4, and I could smoke the cops in their interceptors.
SO I can't talk shop with crate motors an bolt on blowers but I do own a 3.2l that puts 450HP to the ground.

Got this truck out today with just a basic tune and holy fuck this sucker is dangerous LOL
Heads/cam/Long tubes will do wonders with a 5.3, combined with damp weather, skinny all season tires, and the g80 locker, makes for a squirrely AF truck.
Already thinking ill need to go detroit locker sooner rather than later, and really need to find some 20s and run a taller, sticky tire for summer. [Reply]

Made 320hp/366tq on the Mustang dyno. my TA made 400/586 on the same dyno but through a 4l80e and a 9 inch, this truck is a 4l60e and an 8.5" 10 bolt, so much less parastic power loss on the truck.
Not bad numbers on this super stingy dyno for a lil ol cam only 5.3~ [Reply]
