I mean, yeah, that was one of the 5 best defenses in NFL history. But this 2021 pass defense isn't that far off. We're much deeper at corner and safety (Simmons and KJack >>>>> Stewart and TJ Ward too) and our interior pass rush is better than the one that 2015 team had. The Broncos are expecting double digit sacks and a Pro Bowl appearance out of Dre'Mont Jones this year.

The run defense won't be nearly as good as the 2015 D was. You couldn't run on that team. The scheme didn't really allow you to and Wolfe and Malik were exceptional run defenders. Wolfe was the best in the league at it. But Shelby is a better all around player than Wolfe was and Dre'Mont should be a better rusher than Malik Jackson was.

Until you figure out how to beat Mahomes (Denver 0-7 against him), nothing else you do matters. You can have the greatest team in the history of football (and you don’t, by the way) and it still won’t matter. If you can’t beat Mahomes, you can’t beat the Chiefs. Can’t beat the Chiefs, can’t win the division. Can’t win the division, not going anywhere significant. Maybe you can make it as a Wildcard someday, but you’re not rolling though the playoffs to the Super Bowl with the garbage you’ve been trotting out there at QB since Manning retired.

So to recap:

1. Can’t beat Mahomes and Chiefs.

2. Can’t find franchise quarterback.

3. Literally, nothing else matters.
