The article keeps stating "good enough to challenge for a playoff spot."
That doesn't mean they're good, it means they're maybe good enough to maybe get into the playoffs. The bottom playoff teams probably won't be all that good either. Huge drop off in team talent after the top 3-4. [Reply]

I think Paton read it right. Chris Ballard - who like Paton is considered one of the top two talent evaluators in the league - has been searching every nook and cranny for a QB since Andrew Luck left him and he decided he'd rather trade for Wentz than make a move for Fields.
And to think that Brett Veach got L'Jarious Sneed in the 4th round.... [Reply]

Chicago is trying though. Denver is taking QB's that fall in the draft or reboots. [Reply]
1) Rookie Trey Smith is a name to watch. He's played like the Top 50-ish pick his '19 tape showed. A key: He's practicing again full-time after a medication prevented that in '20.
2) L'Jarius Sneed = burgeoning ⭐️ at CB. Freak athlete has taken a big step.
5) There aren't a ton of ?s, outside of how the OL comes together, with three rookies alongside big-ticket acquisitions at LT and LG. But here's one—what's going to become of Mecole Hardman? He's been just OK in his opportunities to this point. Now, with Sammy Watkins gone ...
How will KC replace Watkins 421 yards and 2 TDs from 2020? Seems like an insurmountable obstacle...hope they make the play-offs.
Interesting, that he left during the Raiders game in week 5...which was the only game they lost. Certainly wouldn't have disrupted the game plan they practiced all week...they went 10-0 with the starters the rest of the year...you know...without him. [Reply]
