Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]
Playoff Mahomes is legendary. And we are seeing it yet again, even with the absence of talent the team has at receiver. He raises his game to a different level when the pressure is on.
What was great about the Miami win is that Pat was just as instrumental in the win as the defense was. He wasn't carried by the defense and never really has been in his playoff career. It was his execution of the long drives, the timely throws, the running... That's what makes him special. Brady was carried by his defense in many of his playoff games. That's why his 35 win record should be taken with a grain of salt. A lot of that was Belichick's defense. Brady's stats in the AFC title game are abysmal. [Reply]

I have ZERO idea how he threw the ball in those conditions. When you're cold/shaking/etc. and he's just out there slinging darts. It makes no sense, but that's my QB.

This play is cracking me up. Pacheco just did the best non block "block". He noticed 45 never turned around to see Mahomes running so he's like "I'll just keep looking like I'm running my route and run your dumbass out the play". So smart :-) [Reply]
That is hilarious. Pacheco ran him 30 yards upfield whole time Pat was scrambling.
I noticed the comment on that video crying about how we didn’t get called for holding. I played it back a few times watching each OL individually and can’t see a single even borderline instance of holding.
These idiot haters have completely lost the plot. [Reply]

If there ever was a call that fans of the losing team love to complain about more than anything it's holding. It usually goes something along the lines of "The ______ team has been holding all game and the refs won't call it". [Reply]

Pat Mahomes sr. was on the Arrowhead Allies youtube cast last night. He was talking about how he turns into playoff Mahomes. His increased focus. He's always been that way.
We can all see a difference in playoffs Mahomes. I guess its always been there in his youth sports too. [Reply]

What? He won the “when it gets grim, be the grim reaper” game. That was :13. [Reply]

If you're gonna only send 4 and then run what appears to be a man 2-over coverage, you HAVE to know he's going to scramble on 4th and short.
That's just a bad defensive playcall. Why are the safeties deep like he's gonna take a shot there? I mean - I guess he HAS thrown some YOLO shit there earlier in the year, but he hasn't been taking risks for several weeks now.
That was just such an obvious scramble situation. And I think a lot of it was window-dressing; he never even LOOKED at his check-down to Pacheco. I think he knew he had man, made one read (maybe Rice?) and then waited for the inevitable lane to form up the middle before taking off. [Reply]
