Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill was detained by police today entering the stadium for a driving violation, per his agent Drew Rosenhaus. But Rosenhaus said Hill will play today.

Unfortunately for the cops, i don't think what Tyreek did warranted that much force being used on him.

Just because YOU act like a dumbass it doesn't give the cops the right to act like a dumbass and use excessive force. They are supposed to be the GOOD GUYS.

Is that so difficult to understand?

There was no reason for it to escalate to where it did other than the cops escalating the situation. 4 of them vs 1 Hill.

Fuck that... just like he has a right to be a dumbass and act that way... it means the cops can become dicks too as long as they do it legally as well. They are under no obligation to act like a "good guy" as long as they are within their legal rights. We can wait and see what the investigation finds but my guess it will be the cops didn't do anything wrong as far as Tyreek goes. I am not speaking to what they did with anyone else.

It is simply mind boggling.

Bootlicker chain of logic:
"He violated a traffic law! That's against the law! NOBODY can break the law!"

>COP THEN MAKES UP PROCEDURE AND "LAWS" ON THE FLY, VIOLATING BOTH

"That's on Tyreek! If only he didn't swerve in traffic!"
They really are this reeruned. :-)

Excessive? Did he sustain injuries, or only to his pride?

You act like he did in any other situation, you're going to get the short end of the stick.

Ordering the cop to not knock on his window over and over and over again?

:-)

Did you watch the video? Do you think their actions were warranted?

I think Hill is a dipshit asshole and I generally side with LEO but I didn't see anything in the video except a couple cops on a power trip. There is good reason the other 2 officers didn't get involved.

They walked up to his car with an attitude, it was clearly evident.

Apparently the cops didn't know who he was...how stupid are you?

If this is the case it is stupidly conflicting. Rolling up your window while the officer is trying to talk to you about the stop is the exact opposite of complying.

That's not reason enough for them to flip out like they did. Sorry, Cops don't get to just decide to go all dipshit the moment someone says something they don't like. The whole situation got blown out of proportion by the cops.

Sorry if I hold them to a higher standard than you do.

It's entirely possible he was trying to call someone or was getting advice to roll the window up which would have been fine if windows weren't tinted or he was distracted. Can't blame the officer for being on edge but you also cant assume ill intent from Tyreek.
Even if there is no tint in the windows, rolling them up while the officer is in the course of doing his lawful duty is being defiant.

If this truly was advice being given to Hill, he needs to find better advice givers.

false narrative.

Seems to me a cop was put on admin leave.

See anyone here going against that decision?

It was dumb for sure but didn't justify the response. He probably thought the same thing BRC does and thought he could role up the window and call his agent.

He rolled it back down and was in the process of complying and they dragged his ass out of the car anyway.

This thread is full of rerunned bootlicking bullshit from the usual dudes. Dudes who want people under arrest for driving while black to give up their constitutional rights when cops tell them to.

some idiots on here. Tyreek could be as belligerent as he wanted, but he needed to communicate with the officer with the window down, specifically with that tint, and then he needs to get out of the car if asked as it is a lawful order according to the supreme court. If he rolls down the window and follows lawful orders, he probably rolls away with a warning, ticket at the most. It's when cops pull a minority or anyone over for a made up or non-legal reason to profile when they are in the wrong. Tyreek was hauling ass and the stop was legit.
