Actually you stated that Hali was "just a guy". To me, that's not a solid player because as I noted, DeMorrio Williams is "just a guy". He doesn't do ANYTHING. He does his job but nothing above that. I think there is a clear difference between a guy like Hali and Williams.

I'm saying Vrabel didn't get paid much, so it's not like based on salary he's locked in as a starter. Studebaker very well may beat him out.
As far as OTA's and that sort of thing, that was last year after he got traded. But the fact is, once he showed up he was in fact a great coach on the field. I also wonder if he'll show up for the OTA's and such this year since he said he wants to be a part of this turnaround. We'll see. [Reply]

I dont know how many times Hali has missed a sack and flushed a qb out of the pocket only to see the qb throw for a big gainer because of lacking talent on this defense.
FACT he has been a top five at his position player at pressures on the quarterback about every year he has played in the NFL and IMHO if we get a solid push up the middle and a pass rush presence other than him on this team, qbs wont be able to escape as much and it will start to make passers throw rushed and a lot of those pressures will turn to sacks (for him or the other defenders)
I think Hali could consistently get 12+ sacks if the other factors are lined up.
