GTFOH

IIRC, Tiny E and I paid $500 face value to sit front row lower level for the AFCCG.
Yep, they were calling them "Platinum tickets" or some bullshit. When I saw the $750/each from the Chiefs, there was a pair of resale tickets going for like $350/each right next to them. :-)

Things will level off for the 2nd hone game. Look at it like this....this is the first real crowd since beating the Titans in the AFC title game. That's going to create value. Resales have been dropping for the last month and generally do closer to game day.

Life is good for us. That's why outside of a few random posters we stay and discuss football here and don't run to other boards to talk smack.

You are not worth getting mad over. The only difference between you and any other opposing fan is that you have more of a history here because of your groupie like obsession with Alex Smith. But just like every other opposing fan, we just have to weather the storm of your posts until after the game and you vanish only to be replaced by fans of another team. We have seen this story time and again with Browns fans, Titans fans, 49er fans, Bills fans etc....
I attacked Duncan? Where? Are we making up lies now?

You are probably right. I also wonder though if this is one of those "test the waters" type of things to see if people would be willing to pay those prices long term.

Oh, I'm not mad. Think that if it makes you feel better.

Disdain can be coldly dispassionate just as easily as it can be white-hot angry. Mine for you would fall into the former category, rather than the latter.

In general, I wish the Browns luck and would actually prefer to see them have some success. That fanbase has been loyal to a franchise that's given them no reason to be. But it's annoying that the media and some fans have been so quick to anoint them contenders the past few years before they've accomplished anything. They did show signs of progressing at the end of last year, and made some upgrades in the offseason, but I'm still not sure they're on the level of the elite.
Yes, the Browns D will be better. Especially later in the year. But the Chiefs' offense is going to be better as well.

I've seen a lot of people talk about the lack of experience and starting 3 rookies and all that - and yes, I'd expect the Chiefs' O to take time to gel.

But all 3 of those rookies beat out guys who have started on the OL for Super Bowl teams (Creed Humphrey:Austin Blythe, Trey Smith: Austin Wylie, Laurent Duvarney-Tardiff; Lucas Niang: Austin Wylie, Mike Remmers) to earn their spot. They're starting not out of necessity, but out of performance.

You should check out a KC tailgate first and make your own opinion. Granted they don't throw each other through tables like the Bills. But KCs tailgates are a great time.

Probably... they talk about fighting scalpers, but at some point it's just thinly veiled greed. So people pay far more than reasons when tickets are released, then non-scalpers can't ever get rid of their tickets when the Chiefs' own prices bottom out.

So, eventual the market resets and no one will buy at the higher prices, then scalpers will just wait for prices to drop. :-)

Arrowhead isn't the frat party/kegger that I've seen from Buffalo, if that's your scene.

The flip side being that most fans are coherent enough to remember the game... or make it into the stadium without any traumatic brain injury.

I kinda look at it like when Apple released a $1200 IPhone and everyone thought they were crazy. "No one will pay that for a phone!" Until they did. Apple tested the waters, found a receptive audience and now $1200 phones are common. Football is white hot and this team is amazing. If people will pay $750 now under the guise of first live game since Tenn in the playoffs, they will probably be willing to for other reasons until that price becomes the norm. Just my opinion and I could be way off on this.

I expect a lot of Browns fans are buying tickets. If the Chiefs front office put a high face value on remaining seats, it is probably based on following the market of season ticket holder sales to Browns fans on the ticket sites.

Definitely could be the case. They were really upping the fees for the Titans (something like 28%), so my feeling was that it's probably my last playoff game given the travel on top of ticket prices.

When the Chiefs are in those games every year, it just doesn't make sense to me to pay playoff prices for relatively pointless games... to each their own though, it's the golden age of Chiefs football.

How attacking of me to ask someone who attacked me unprovoked who they were. As I figured. Lies. But I know how to make you disappear. Have a great week pal!

I guess the AFCCG against NE will be the last game I attend at Arrowhead.
I wanted to go to the Packers/Chiefs game but those tickets are more expensive than the AFCCG tickets I bought.

Crazy.
