Our defense is freaky. Almost 2015 level freaky. Our top 4 corners would be the #1 guy on a lot of teams, including every team in the AFCW AND we have the best safety tandem in the entire league. Our DL is great and we have depth all along it.

This is a playoff team, and had we gotten Rodgers we would've won it all in 2021 if we stayed healthy.
See, this is where you lose people. These big grandiose speculative predictions based outside of reality. Your defense has proven NOTHING. You were ranked in the 20's in both ypg and ppg last year. This defense has played 2 pre-season games. That's it. No matter how they looked, that means exactly jack and shit. Get out of here with this 2015 nonsense. If we get halfway through the season and they're on 2015 defense pace, then maybe you could reference that D. But until then, :-).

And your top 4 corners #1 on most teams? Get out of here with that BS. Ronald Darby is NOT a #1 corner and the dude can't even stay healthy. Kyle Fuller is a solid corner, no argument on him. Surtain is completely unproven. Hasn't even played a SNAP against defenses in an NFL 'real' game and you're talking about lining him up against a HOF and current best TE in the league in Kelce and he's gonna shut him down? Come on, man. And I don't even know who your 4th corner is so that tells you all you need to know right there.

And the 'best safety tandem in the league'. There you go with the grandiose over the top statements again. They may not even be the SECOND best in the AFC West. Chargers with a healthy Derwin James and KC with HB and a healthy Thornhill (finally) may very well outperform them. Complete BS and you know it.

Just a bunch of super homerific nonsense. Your all time D is based on nothing more than speculation and what you think CAN happen. Just a bunch of hyperbole with no basis in reality as they have accomplished nothing on an NFL field together at this point.

Edit: And I just looked up your 4th CB; Bryce Callahan. A JAG who has been in the NFL 7 years and accomplished nothing of note, including while playing on some really good Bears defenses for a few years. He didn't even play in 2019 before catching on with the Donks in 2020. But, yeah, he'd be the #1 CB on most teams . . . . . herp derp.

"We've talked about all the Fangio defenses (around the NFL) this whole offseason, let's talk about the actual Fangio defense. It's not like he's coaching a bunch of scrubs, where it's like, "You know the scheme's good though." No. It's like stars littered throughout ... Fuller might be the best off corner in the league ... Sometimes with really, really, really talented units, you wonder if they have the right coach who can bring it all together; Fangio is the best defensive coordinator in the NFL. The guy that everyone else is trying to steal from, has the best players. I think it's probably going to go pretty well."

Wow. So the Broncos Twitter guy and the Bears twitter guy are talking up Vic Fangio and fawning praise all over him . . . . . . . ?

How entirely and completely unpredictable!

Shelby Harris missed 5 games

For a good chunk of the season Michael Ojemudia and Devaunte Bausby (currently an unsigned FA) were our #1 and #2 corners and they were frequently on the field with at least one of the following corners: Parnell Motley, Nate Hairston, Alijah Holder, Duke Dawson, PJ Locke, Kevin Toliver and Devontae Harris.

The fact that Vic Fangio was able to have the #1 red zone defense in the league with all of that is a testament to his brilliance, and why teams are desperate to find someone from the Fangio tree to call their defense.

I think Fangio is in the perfect spot to bring this current defense to 2015 levels...maybe the broncos can get to 8-8 this year. Right where they belong.

I love these posts. It just makes their inevitable misery that much more enjoyable.

Neither of them are affiliated with the Broncos. Nate Tice used to coach for the Raiders and Mays is a Bears fan.

He had a career year (albeit abreviated) with the Saints in 2019 starting in place of Brees. Then again, the Saints were a MUCH better team that year than the Broncos currently are now. You have a lot of young pieces (at WR & TE) that haven't figured out the NFL game yet. Nor have they had a ton of time with Teddy B. Your O-Line is still a BIG question mark.

Your QB is a career 66% passer with a TD-INT ratio of 53-36.

2021 Season for Teddy B. 18TD's, 12 INT's, 67% completion %, 3700 yards.

Go ahead and write that down. Those will be his #'s for the year (and I think I'm actually being a little generous). That is assuming he gets to start the whole year and doesn't get injured or lose his job to Lock at some point.

Is that better than your 2020 QB's? Yeah. But enough to really move the needle much?

He might take you from a 5 win team to a 7 win team. So you've got that going for you, I guess. :-)
Peyton Manning had 9 TD's, 17 INT's, 59.8% completion, 2249 yards in 2015. A team doesn't need a franchise QB to win a SB as much as they need a consistent and very good D and they need a QB that is steady and doesn't turn the ball over on a regular basis. If Denver's D can get close to 2015 caliber, be afraid. See the 2007 Giants against the perfect Patriots, the 2011 Giants against the Patriots, 2013 Seahawks against the #1 offense in NFL history, Tampa Bay against the best QB in the league (and no, it wasn't just the OL and it wasn't Mahomes) and there is more. One important lesson, remember, stats never tell the whole story.

KC got slapped by the injury bug yet still reached the SB easily, with one regular season loss for the starters. And it wasn't because their roster was incredibly stacked and deep. It was because they have the best HC/QB combo.

Until you solve those two issues, your margin for error is slim to none vs a team like KC.

Your injuries last year were a convenient excuse. The length of the injured list doesn't really matter if nearly all of them are scrubs who don't move the needle.

I have a statistic that I think tells a complete and compelling story. “0-9.”

Ironically, I also have one important lesson: “Go sell crazy somewhere else. We’re all stocked up here.”

Damn, the Chiefs have won so many in a row I can’t even keep track without the use of an abacus! I guess that’s what happens when the tally is greater than your number of fingers. I will have to start making marks on my wall like a prisoner counting the days. If it is that bad for us, imagine how much it feels like purgatory for a Broncos fan. I’m surprised we haven’t lost them all to depression and self harm at this point (not that I want that even for them).

KC racked up 543 yards and made it look easy in their first matchup vs Tampa. Yes, a battered, third string line made a big difference.

There's a very good chance that this will be the best KC team in history. None of us are afraid of your D, QBs or HC.

We get Browns, Ravens and Chargers. Donkeys get Giants, Jags and Jets.

What a joke.
