Man, I wonder how Dorsey knew the exact draft position to trade up for Mahomes. A reasonable person would credit the relationship between Veach and Cabbott and the subsequent Intel on who else was interested, but Veach doesn't deserve any of the credit so we must look elsewhere, I suppose. [Reply]

You do realize Ballard was the Colts GM during the Mahomes draft, correct? [Reply]
So yet another piece of information confirming what everyone else on here has already said; Veach was the one pounding the table for Mahomes and getting everyone else in the Chiefs front office excited about him. Yes, Dorsey made the trade and the pick, but he wouldn’t have done ANY of that without Veach’s legwork.
