It's like a couple years ago, Walmart provided all the food for Master Chef. It was sickening listening to these world-renowned chefs talking about meat and produce from Walmart like it was better than farmer's market... as if they'd EVER buy meat and produce from Walmart. [Reply]

Yeah, I understand. If the money is right, they would try to convince you that steak from the $1 store is high end restaurant bought USDA prime choice grade A beef. [Reply]

And yeah, I'd probably sell out, too. But I haven't been given that opportunity, so until then, I'll stick with righteous indignation. :-)
The only reason not to use an air fryer is possession of a commercial-sized unit. It's just convection cooking downsized for personal portions. It's a very effective cooking method.

You know my position.
Again, really not knocking the tech. Just knocking Ramsay for pimping it when we all know he's not using it.
I've never used it, but I take your word for it. I'm even marginally interested in getting something like this. [Reply]

Why can't he pimp it as an effective solution for singles or small spaces. Maybe he sent his daughter off to college with one, or his nana has one in her living center. Not everyone has a 5-star stainless steel kitchen with commercial fixtures in every living space.
I bet Gordon doesn't use a shitty little paddle wheel immersion thingamabob to do his sous vide, either. :-) [Reply]

You don't actually think either of those things are true.
I'll bet he doesn't, but I can't afford a $2,000 immersion circulator. [Reply]
I wish Alton Brown would come out with a line of kitchen gadgets. On his shows he always digs to find the best tools for the job, and I cannot find some of his quirkiest gadgets despite looking for years. [Reply]
