George Paton told @peter_king "quarterbacks are available more than franchise corners every year, at least the last couple of years” when talking about the many reasons the Broncos drafted Patrick Surtain II over a QB in the first round.https://t.co/17T4wD3iyX

I agree, part owner of 2 sports franchises, part owner of 30 Whataburgers coming to Mo. & Ks.
God and Pat only knows what else there is to accomplish in or around KC? [Reply]

I think Patton was forced to retain the Donks coaching staff this season...he knows they cant compete with the Chiefs in their current situation. Lock is in his final year...
He also knows a new HC/OC will want the option of selecting their own QB...drafting Fields would tether a new staff to him for 3 more seasons. That might impede a potential HC from taking the job...
That's the only logic I can see for not taking him...
Be terrible, get a top CB...hire a new staff and draft a QB next year. [Reply]

As of right now which QBs are coming out this year that project to have the potential that Fields has? [Reply]

I used to believe that until I saw New England’s reign [Reply]

Unfortunately, if we have a great year, that becomes unlikely. Even if we're undefeated going into the final week, Andy would likely sit the starters. [Reply]
