Denver has talent on their team and have been drafting relatively well the past few years, but in spite of that they are not even competitive when playing KC. Reason is the gap between the QBs and Denver shows little desire to close that. They seem to be hoping the Alex Smith model of building a great team around an average QB and taking your chances is a winning one.
Mahomes has altered the NFL landscape and teams can no longer afford to play it safe at the QB position. Denver would have been better off with taking a chance with Fields than drafting the safer Surtain II pick. [Reply]
Have the rumors about Aaron Rodgers being dealt to Denver lost steam? It'll be pretty ridiculous if they fall face first into another elite QB at the tail end of their career. Talk about getting bailed out as an organization. Holy cow. [Reply]

Would be nice, but I don't see it happening. I saw one site/blog talk about 3 scenarios... each involved their next 3 R1 picks plus either Sutton or Chubb or other.
Dude is amazing... but 37 and if he were 34, sure trade the top picks in the next 3 drafts. [Reply]
Just read that RT Ju’wuan James blew out his Achilles away from the facility today so now they can cut him without paying him anything. Sucks for the guy but seems like he’s been stealing money from them anyhow. [Reply]

FA Bust... played 3 games and injured in 2019, opted out of 2020. And, now the ACL.

Not sure there really is a good reason for the Packers to trade him now. Cap wise they need to wait until June 1, trade wise they probably better off waiting until next spring. At least at that point 1) you know if he will play this year or was bluffing and 2) can at least lock in the 1st rounder you receive. I mean trade him now for a 1st and he plays the year you just traded him for a mid 20's pick. Does not make a lot of sense. Springtime you can seek the highest 1 available + compensation. [Reply]

They can tank this year and have a good pick to go with the haul. [Reply]

Lol yea a team that just went to back to back NFCCGs is going to trade the MVP for late 1st round picks and somehow “tank” with one of the better rosters in the NFL.
They didn’t just pay top RB money to Aaron Jones to “tank”. [Reply]

They are. The PA is getting a lot of players to exercise the voluntary part of this process and stay at home. A major downside is it shifts 100% of the injury liability to the player, not the team. And this is what can happen as a result. https://t.co/Lv9eUHAEHm
