Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

Yeah, that's about right.
MEH is just taking bullets, Patrick's aren't designed runs.
Just watch what Pacheco is doing and that tells you how our run game is actually operating.
Granted, small sample size has a 50 yard run in there that's goosing the numbers a bit. I don't think we've REALLY been as efficient as that 4.9 YPC would suggest. But that doesn't mean we can't be.
This team should be able to run the football when it wants to. [Reply]

And I think Pacheco should be good for one of those big runs every 4 games or so.
Feels like he's just getting going too. Started slow with the injury and lack of contact in TC/preseason. [Reply]

It's a shame this place can be so miserable and everybody spends the entire week arguing or crying about our WRs while our defense has been absolutely amazing.
Not that there aren't many talking about the defense, but a particular group are hyper focused on the WRs while rarely/never acknowledging the defense. [Reply]

We do need the offense running efficiently by playoff time. There's plenty of time obviously, but where we're at now ain't gonna cut it. [Reply]

We're a contender with this defense and Mahomes/Kelce/Andy alone today. Would that result in a SB? Maybe, maybe not.
If the offense gets back to even the level last year (which is not a huge jump whatsoever), we're going to be scary good. [Reply]

His improved vision is whats stood out to me more than anything, not sure he'll ever be a "patient" runner because his mentality doesn't seem to allow much of that
But his speed, and ability to spot a hole as it begins to develop means he doesnt HAVE to be very patient... just make one cut and hit the afterburners

Agreed. Even with some duds against the Broncos and Texans no one wanted to play us.
The only thing that concerns me is how gun-shy Mahomes has been. He's not trusting his recievers to be in the spots he wants or expects them to be in, and he's tucking and running WAY more than we're used to. I have no doubt he'll get out of this funk like he did in 2021, but right now Mahomes and our receivers are struggling. [Reply]

We need at least 500 and 34 BARE MINIMUM!
We've all been annoyed as hell by our offense and it effectively put up 30 (a slide at the goaline away) against arguably the most talented defense in the league.
It absolutely fucked its own face against Detroit in a display that nobody truly expects to ever see again.
Against Chicago it hummed and against Jacksonville it was actually quite good with just a couple of stumbles that took points off the board (including the premier of the "Everyone Hates Jawaan" approach to officiating).
It's gonna be fine. I mean I don't know that we're averaging 34 or anything - it's probably not gonna be the death star it has been at times. But 26-27 pts/gm vs 29/30 seems eminently reasonable. [Reply]
If the WRs only dropped 4 passes against Detroit instead of 8, we win by more than one score and are currently sitting as the only undefeated team in the afc.
Relax and enjoy.
Andy/Pat are going to have a breakout game real soon and never look back.
Enjoy it.
We’re going to see 2-3 guys become stars right in front of us while winning another title. [Reply]
