Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]
Because I'm old, I can't find the stupid thread on The Franchise. I search for it, but it doesnt' come up. So...anyway, here for your viewing pleasure is a preview from the next episode featuring our two favorite heroes, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.
Hah, nothing we didn’t already know, but just continues to explain why Kelce always appears to be wide open. Man was supposed to run a corner but ran a post instead. Dude just runs to the open part of the field.
Also explains why Mahomes might stare Kelce down from time to time. He can never be sure what he’s going to do lol [Reply]

That clip might even deserve a thread of its own.
We see and hear endless talk about the Kelce-Mahomes 'mind meld,' but that's the core of it right there. [Reply]

Just natural instinct that cant be taught. Either you have it or not. In the NFL that's really rare. Maybe more have that skill but their coaches wont allow that freelancing except on broken plays. [Reply]
Mahomes had 8 passes dropped in week 1, one of them went for a pick 6. Wilson has been playing from behind every week (like 50 points behind) and was unable to mount a credible comeback except a super lucky triple doink hail mary against Washington. It isn't remotely the same. Look at the stats after the bye and see how similar they are then. [Reply]

Much less having no idea what the team will look like at that point versus simply imaging Kelce not playing right now.
Yes thats exactly what we mean. No Kelce no hosting AFC Championship. Doesn't mean we will be bad. Will still be really reallygood. You need to raise your expectations. The difference between winning a SB or not is razor thin. Not doing so means you give Mahomes shit weapons for a decade like they did to Rodgers in GB. [Reply]

This is the same idiot shit we got from the Tyreek trade, too.
People go, "Without Tyreek, we don't have anybody to beat the 49ers in the 4th quarter of the SB." Yeah. That can happen if a really good player all of a sudden just disappears from your team.
These guys don't just disappear. They make choices in the offseason. The team makes choices in the offseason. The team makes plans for life without said player. Multiple years in advance in many cases.
If Kelce retires at the end of this season, do you think the Chiefs are just going to keep trucking along on the same path they are and say, "Noah Gray and/or Skyy Moore will just have to replace Kelce's production"
BigRedChief is an attention whore, but he's usually smarter than this kind of idiocy, especially in the Mahomes era. We're going to have to adjust to a new way of approaching the offense if Kelce retires, yes. Mahomes is going to have to adjust. And boy, we just don't know if he can! And we just don't know if Veach is capable of putting together teams and talent that can win Super Bowls when we lose star players! [Reply]
