IT ****ING HAPPENED

OP UPDATE:

Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy!

We are in big trouble for a few seasons when Kelce retires.

Hard as hell to drop a throw like that into the perfect spot when you know you're about to get nailed by the pass rushers, but even more difficult when you're doing that type of throw on the run. He made it look effortless. Hell of a catch by Watson too. Tough to track that ball and come down with it.
One of his best, most accurate throw he has had while scrambling and knowing he is going to be hit.

Well maybe if he looks and steps into the 7 yard pitch and catch he doesn't misfire :-)

(Because man - that's about as easy a TD throw as Mahomes will ever have. Yikes)

Wow.

Yeah - that play didn't work. At all.

Just made something from nothing because the Bears defense had that one called. At best you may be looking for a scramble drill at some point to create some yards.

Those are the kinds of plays that normal teams with normal quarterbacks have to absorb sometimes. Bears played like shit all day but right there they had the right coverage and played it perfectly.

Just didn't matter. And that's probably the case a half dozen times/gm.

Yeah.....it wasn't good.

Just stand in there and throw the ball to the guy in the endzone.

On the OL though....this group is just dominant in the pass game.

The no look was to freeze the linebacker in the middle of the field. If Mahomes looks at Kelce, the LB maybe gets an extra jump to the left (his right) and deflects or intercepts.

Mahomes had to fit that between 3 defenders. It didn't seem that easy to me.

Im not sure that’s necessarily true.

What we will have to do though is make a significant investment in a number 1 pass catching option if we fail to develop one between now and then.

I understand the media will say shit like that until Mahomes retires, but especially after winning the SB without Tyreek last year, I have no clue why any Chiefs fan would believe they'll ever be in "big trouble" as long as Mahomes is healthy..... unless "big trouble" means *gasp* not hosting the AFCCG every year.

Much less having no idea what the team will look like at that point versus simply imaging Kelce not playing right now.

Andy has been filing away plans for years. Just if Travis misses a few games

Because I'm old, I can't find the stupid thread on The Franchise. I search for it, but it doesnt' come up. So...anyway, here for your viewing pleasure is a preview from the next episode featuring our two favorite heroes, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes.
