Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]

I said it in the Browns/Steelers game thread - Cleveland is 2-0 right now with Baker under center.
Salary notwithstanding, Baker Mayfield has been a FAR better player thus far this season. And I don't think its impossible that he continues to be. [Reply]

Sure seems that way
I thought that since the preseason game we played against them his rookie year. He couldn't hit an out to save his life! [Reply]

He didn't process in college either.
I don't understand an organization tying its fate to a guy like Fields. Tools don't mean much if you don't know what you're seeing.
At some point you would think the league will black list Ohio State quarterbacks in the first round of the Draft, but yet again we have a #2 overall pick with CJ Stroud this year. Guess we will see if Stroud can break the trend of mega-bust QB's from Ohio State. [Reply]

The same could be said about USC QBs and who is currently the projected #1 pick? Perhaps it will be different this time. [Reply]

Yeah, whoever gets him is hoping he can beat the previous trends like Mahomes did. Patrick was labeled as a "typical Air Raid Texas Tech QB" which is a way of saying the dude will be a massive bust in the NFL. Mahomes always had more talent than previous Tech & Air Raid QB's. The same is perhaps true for Caleb Williams compared to the previous USC quarterbacks. We shall see! [Reply]

I like Stroud more than Fields - I think he will eventually develop into a pretty average(ish) quarterback. Maybe a guy who hangs around the fringes of top 10 lists some years. [Reply]

It seems Stroud throws the ball a lot better than many of the previous Ohio State quarterbacks. Stroud piled up 380+ passing yards last week, though ESPN gave him a 49/100 QBR grade. Probably because he had 2 fumbles (1 lost) and 47 yards lost on 6 sacks. [Reply]
