Because of all the interest in this thread, I've place all of the video content of Patrick Mahomes II's college career, and draft day goodness into a single post that can be found here. Enjoy! [Reply]
If Moore does what James is suggesting (and cuts towards the middle of the field and uses James as a natural screen of that deep defender), I think he scores on that play, too.

Oh well. Worked out fine, as it was.
I thought that when the play happened. Cut back to the middle of the field and he probably walks in to the end zone. [Reply]

In real time it looked like James was behind the play and wouldn't have been able to get a clean block so he took what he could get.
I'm most likely wrong, but I remember thinking that at the time. [Reply]
Credit to Baldy though. That view really does show how difficult it was to see it. And I had no clue in real time how dead to rights whatever that LBs name is had Mahomes. Christ Mahomes put the clown shoes on him.

It was largely irrelevant. At that point staying on the 'small' part of the field to limit the number of angles guys can come at you while staying in bounds just to make sure you get down in bounds with the football secured is about all that matters.
Cut it back to the middle and now you may have opened another pursuit angle you didn't see and you get stripped from a blind hit (probably not in this instance, but as a general rule).
I'm probably giving him too much credit, but keeping it simple and staying up the sideline while staying inbounds is almost certainly the way to go in that situation. Get down in easy FG range to make it a 2 possession game, keep the clock running, win the ballgame. [Reply]
PFF guy posted a funny stat. Deshaun Watson has taken more sacks than Mahomes in recent years, despite the fact Watson has only 288 passing attempts compared to 812 passing attempts for Mahomes in that time period. [Reply]
Right now if you have a choice of a) Watson with his massive cap hit, or b) Baker with a low cap hit that you can build around, I don't think it's a close call. It might be a close call even not considering salary. [Reply]

I wouldn't have a serial sex offender as the leader of my team, but that's just me. [Reply]
