And that's the biggest disappointment with the sequels. There are WAY better stories to tell than the Rogue One story. And any one of them told with the kind of dedication and care that Andor/Rogue one got would've blown away anything the OT had to offer.
It would have been -- SHOULD have been -- LOTR caliber epic. It shouldn't have been the standard by which the genre is judged, it should've simply redefined what the genre is.
Virtually unlimited resources, a goldmine of story idea, massive fan support and anticipation -- and by far the best effort they could manage was a lukewarm rehash of A New Hope.
It's just remarkable what a wasted opportunity that was.

When the movie got to Scarif, it became the best "Star Wars" ever put on film or TV. Best quality ever.
