After those guys, you had Carlos Hyde, Darrell Williams and crap. Shady McCoy didn't get signed until later. And I think we used Spencer Ware's corpse at some point, too?
Anyway, it was just too perfect of a setup for Darwin Thompson to be either our lead or at least situational RB. It made too much sense. And yeah, he did look good against backup buttholes in preseason, but as usual, the coaches know better.
Pacheco doesn't have the position handed to him at all. There's still pressure to use CEH, and it's hard to ignore Jet McKinnon's effectiveness in the playoffs. If Pacheco gets carries, it's because he earned them by being better than the other guys. If he's not, then he'll still probably make the team as a kick returner.
All of that revolving door could be eliminated if you drafted a guy like Taylor or Swift. Thankfully you guys didn't but Reid realizes he wouldn't use them enough anyway even when they are gashing people. Most guys look good in shorts and shells. [Reply]

What? It's the RB position. Who gives a shit if there's a revolving door?
Better than having a revolving door at QB for the past 6 years. [Reply]

Well dont hate me but your team thought it was important. They wasted a first wound pick on a slow small RB. They over thought the position when there was 2 OBVIOUS better RBs there. [Reply]
A reminder of why you shouldn't ignore the Isiah Pacheco hype. This is from the Late-Round Prospect Guide, written right after the draft (at the time, every source spelled his name Isaih): pic.twitter.com/AtPohymBI4

And Fountain? He was active for 5 games last season, was never targeted, and got lapped on the depth chart by the ghost of Josh Gordon. Yup, you nailed it! :-)
I said he would make the roster when most said he wouldn't. Did I say he was Jerry Rice? Smh :-) [Reply]

We won a SB with a RBBC
Look at the AFC since 2011. Every year the Patriots and Chiefs have atleast played in an AFCCG, every year since 2011. How many stud RBs did those teams have when they made it there? Lagarete Blount? James White? Clyde Edwards Helaire? Not a single standout among them, yet they were contenders every year [Reply]
I spent about an hour watching him before i went to bed last night.
It's just so hard to project RB's in the NFL. He's fast, he's not Jamaal Charles fast that's for sure. I understand he ran 4.37 at the combine, not the proday. Which is impressive. But he looks more like a 4.4 guy to me, not that that isn't fast enough.
He seems to gobble up yards quickly the way Charles would though. He got what was there in college, didnt really leave a whole lot of meat on the bone. As muscular as he may be, he's not a pile mover the way Kareem Hunt was, but at least he falls forward.
Shrug.
Who knows.
He has the ability to take advantage of what's there. He has the speed to make big plays happen in space. He's not the strongest dude between the tackles.
But we see similar players every year that don't amount to shit. You just never know. Sometimes these guys get into the league with Pro coaching and pro schemes and flourish.
If the Chiefs believe his talent is transferring on the field than i'll go ahead and believe it too until my eyes tell me otherwise. [Reply]
