We'll make our own. I suspect some homemade stock and fresh lemons will make that sauce really stand out.

But tomorrow is sous vide pork belly sliders.

Meat too dark, buns too toasty, pickle too salty, mayo too fatty, cheese not cheesy enough.

Do not want.

I get the same thing. A few weeks ago I woke up before 8 AM on a Saturday feeling refreshed, it was my first day off of the week. That put me in such a good mood that I went all out on breakfast. Sausage, well spiced eggs, potato patties with ketchup and malt vinegar, pancakes with butter and syrup and a fresh pot of coffee. I gorged like a pig then passed out. I slept in my chair off and on until I finally woke up around Noon feeling like shit. I think it was the pancakes. Knocked my ass right out even with the fresh coffee.

Come to think of it I have been known to make up a ton of pancake batter with cinnamon (heavy), vanilla (heavy), clove (light), allspice (light) and nutmeg (light) in the mix. After they're cooked I'll put fresh fruit (usually some kind of berry), powdered sugar (light), brown sugar (light) and whipped cream (heavy) and butter on them. Butter first so it melts. If the kid and his G/F aren't around to help I'll eat a glorious stack of ManCakes and then pass out for about 5 hours.

ahh, your spice is completely different than your ingredients. listo, you got the flavor right but you are mixing ingredients that are without moisture to a batter. when you deal with spices that are ground or powdered. they are a seasoning. a seasoning is an additive. to me if i want those flavours in a pancake, i cook some peaches or apples to syrup and COOK those flavours into it.

most important is if it ain't broke don't fix it.
