I get the thinking that, "hey, you're young and rich and famous, have some fun first!" However, it seems like every time I see a behind the scenes of these elite athletes at the top of their profession, and we meet their wife or long time girlfriend, it seems like that support at home is a massively helpful to them in navigating their high profile/high pressure careers.

There's a reason these teams like guys who are married and in stable relationships when doing draft prep and such.

Folks that place their value on being able to fuck chicks -- bro douche
Folks that place no value on themselves (or women) because they CAN'T fuck chicks -- incel

Seems like they're mirror images of each other. But Bwillie strikes me as bro douche here. Someone that thinks a rich athlete should just go out there and fuck lots of chicks because he can and that'll be awesome....

....oh. I think I see what you're getting at here. Living vicariously through the athlete that can get laid = incel.

Okay...point withdrawn.

No not really but man I couldn’t imagine trading my early and mid 20s for raising a family.....especially if I was rich. It's really a time thing not about slaying chicks.

Ofc everyone is different and some people know exactly what they want and thats to be a husband and father as soon as possible. At the same time there are many that regret it. I have a few friends that were in LTRs in their early 20s and now they look back and are like what was I thinking

I get that. From 18-25 I traveled all over the world. I had tons of women thrown themselves at me because I was an American and they wanted to marry that passport and live in the USA. And I took full advantage of this situation.

I didn't find love until 30. Found her using "Video dating". The pre-cursor to the internet dating apps that at the time wouldn't exist for wouldn't for another decade. 34 years later, still together.

My folks were done having kids by 25. I had my twins at 34.

My parents had their kids out of the house by their early 40s while I still have a pair of 6 year olds. My mom had a career change in her mid 40s when she decided she just wanted to do something else; my dad retired at 55.

I'll still have kids in college when I'm in my early 50s. They, with the benefit of financial stability and less career pressure, were done with all that and could take charge of the rest of their lives.

And yes, I got to have more freedom in my 20s when I was broke and still trying to find my footing professionally, but I got to put very little of that to use. Yeah - I drank more and did more silly shit than I would have with kids but whatever.

There are obvious benefits both ways.

If your metric for success is getting drunk and banging chicks - have kids later - sure, having kids early seems real dumb. But that's because you're looking at things over an incredibly limited timeline.

Life ain't that short, fella. Maybe have your eyes a little further down the road.

I think I see what you're getting at. Some people might be so dedicated to their craft they don't have time for a loved one or a family. Or they think fostering a loving relationship is only a distraction from work.

But its really not always like that. In fact, the way it works out ideally is both parties understand that the athletes work life is going to dominate everything, and its the wife/gfs job to eliminate that stress and make their life easier. It doesn't have to be a nuisance or a distraction as long as everybody's on the same page. And the reward is just general happiness and lifelong companionship. Thats something worth striving for, regardless of age or social status.

All four Kingsley Suamataia pass pro reps:

-Movement Skills on display
-Saw a nasty Cross-Chop from Hines-Allen, but the calmness to try and relocate hands is promising
-Saw Jump set, 45 degree, and Vertical pass sets in limited action. Believe he's the week 1 starter pic.twitter.com/6nrvBHywWX

Still seems to be a little early with his punch sometimes but ultimately that's picking nits.

We didn't see much but he seemed solid enough in a tough matchup with what little we got to see.

I've seen more useful training camp videos, to be honest. Coaches put a stamp on this one...

He already looked miles better than OBJ or Smith ever did. Amazing to watch a guy with actual athletic ability playing LT for us, forgot what that was like for a while. Going to be huge if they hit on him, which I think they clearly did. 3 years of dirt cheap, even decent LT play (and it will probably be much more than decent) is a godsend for this franchise.

Come on, dude. He’s had 4 preseason pass pro reps. OBJ and Donovan Smith played well for us in Super Bowls lol
